Browsed the "coming soon" list in early access looking for the release date of Hellion and stumbled over this game this

There are only a few videos on youtube but i think it looks like Squad in WWII.

I cant figure out what that is. in one place they say 50v50 25km2 but then the rest of the description reads like a SP/Coop game. It sounds more like heroes and generals than squad though. Will have to wait and see when it comes out (4 days). Im eager to see if it will be any good and how their sales model will be. I kind of feel this is going the microtransactions route.

I also can't figure out exactly what this is. It almost seems like another Red Orchestra. I can't tell how it may differ other than possibly having larger maps.

red orchestra with larger maps would be an instant buy for me. i hate RO2's maps where they zone you out to force the action to be constant. I want a game where I can sit for 10 minutes with an AT gun waiting to ambush some idiot tank out on the fringe of the map.

WWIIOnline was great for that.... 10 years ago. Now I cant bring myself to play it anymore and even there they are trying to push all the action away from the countryside and into close quarter battles in cities. (thats why I dumpped my subscription.) If I wanted that I would have played any number of other wwii FPSs that were NOT wwiionline.

With all that said, I dont have high hopes for this title.

Whoa, this game is not quite ready yet. Not use if it is just post launch issues (its only been out an hour) but it has issues.

First the options menus is wonky. There is no windowed mode and max resolution is 1080p. I had to also set the mouse sensitivity down to 10% just to play.

Then in game the servers keep crashing every 5 minutes and there is some sort of server side lag. I had a ping of 80ms but my shots took almost a full second to register and if you throw a grenade it hangs in the air right in front of you until it explodes and kills you.

Looks pretty cool though and I like the large maps.

I feel like the game ran out of development funds so they decided to release it in it's current state and hope it generated enough income to finish making it. It's pretty rough right now.

Bought it and got a refund as I don't think it's ready for even early access release. Lots of bugs, some which prevented any game play at all for me. Beware if you're left handed as the arrow keys are not re-bindable!

Given time it has potential I feel.
