I agree Dash got wet eyes also..Stood up and Saluted this man..Stupid as it sounds..The Greatest Generation who we owe so much..I can't imagine what he was feeling or remembering

Not stupid at all. Entirely appropriate. I wouldn't agree with the 'rock star' comparison. Heroes like this didn't do what they did, and happily continue to do in this case, for ego or adulation, but for something higher than themselves for which they were willing to offer everything they had.

That was wonderful. God Bless him. He's in great shape for his age and hats off the owners and pilot of the P-51 for letting him take control.

My friend Doug (95 yr old RN vet) is fading now and probably won't see another Armistice Day. We will never see their like again.

The reference to The Greatest Generation is in reference to a book by Tom Brokaw called The Greatest Generation its's personal stories abut what they went through in WW II,,Very good book and I've a copy on my shelf.And when i read it I have to set it down from time to time...But I did google "Rock Band The greatest generation and see what you mean,,I'd never disrespect any vet being one myself
