Hiding in the bushes
Finally I have bitten the bullet and bought NTTR for DCS World 2. I couldn't wait any longer for Steam release. What a remarkable terrain. It runs fast too. Anyway I took the Warthog to the range, took out some stationary targets, on my way back to Nellis I decided to go sightseeing. Buzzed Vegas strip @50ft, went north-west to Beatty and tried to land. And that's the end result wounded

Now I can't wait for the upcoming LN F-14.

I have one issue though. Are the clouds in 2.0.5 broken? When I load some weather in the editor the clouds behave strange, when you approach them they disappear.

Nice shots, I like the last one... HaHa - you land like me.. we should fly together on MP...

I haven't bought the NTTR terrain for several reasons:
1. Due to unfinished nature of DCS products and 2x versions (confusing) - I will wait for the 2.5 (if I'm still alive)
2. I like the russian planes most and since it's really only useful for training scenario of US aircraft and I'm still no expert in DCS I can get all my training done in Georgia area.
3. I only have purchased DCS modules when they are on big specials as I don't really want to pay too much until things are finished/combined in 2.5 etc...

Don't know about the clouds but what I have noticed is when you look up at them with TrakIR they spin around in an unnatural way.. I think I've noticed that in other sims with TrackIR too...

Looking fwd to some more screens from your next flights...

I felt the same as you, but frankly with the upcoming F-14 I figured that I will eventually buy the NTTR and go DCS World 2.x anyway, since these modules takes forever to arrive on Steam. And when the Tomcat comes out I want to fly it ASAP.

Besides NTTR I only own FC3 bought on Steam. I own most pre-DCS:W releases though - Flanker 2.0 and 2.5, LOMAC, Flaming Cliffs, Flaming Cliffs 2, Black Shark.

Regarding the clouds the spinning is normal and is evident in all the flight sims that use "pseudo-volumetric" clouds (they are not truly volumetric as they are built from many sprites, which when observed from above or below will tend to spin as they always face the observer). But that is not the issue - I already found other people complaining about the clouds on ED forums, so it's common problem I guess in 2.0.5.

I already have some interesting video from my last flight which I reveal soon ... winkngrin
