MarkEAW asked if I could find it. It was not on any of my PCs, but I eventually found it on a USB drive. It was designed for multiplayer with very few targets. The stock ETO tilemap is used but all of the action is around the Alpine lakes. I just did a quick re-assembly for 160: The seasons folder is being used. I will revisit this and check it out with the target editor before I release a 160 version

Having cracked the P47-D CTD problem I should be able to release a 160 version in the next day or so. When I used the original files in the target editor I got a CTD when it tried to split "tardata.dat". So I used the default "tardata.dat" and split that one. I was able to rebuild the files, but I also made a "EAW_RRD.dat" file with invisible railway tracks for ship convoys on the lake, plus some more visible ones for trains to run on. I moved one of the two targets on the lake so that one is in allied and the other is in axis territory. Screenies from 1.29

Cool. Always liked the Lake theatre. The Lake is the same in Default EAW.The area is Swiss. I originally intended to develope it further and make a Fjord mission with stuff like the Turpitz attack, etc. I always love a majestic winter mountain view especially with a Lake, etc. a fjord / loch is be even better. The original had its shortcomings. Ai's have problems avoiding hills of course. In spite of it's own bugs it was a good test bed also and led to some discoveries and bugfixes. I laid out some bases with many extra objects and also incorporated tonester's depot. However I found strangely enough I did not really like my bases much even after I placed many ground objects by hand. As opposed to the randomness of objects dispersed in the 'flying circus' (OAWM2) experiment the Lake Mission had more ordered objects yet somehow they really just did not satify me. But the theatre / terrain was great and flying combat over the middle of the lake was the main attraction and the short time to engage from a ground start. Pobs discovered the angle to a tmod for trees but I never added it. I assume you redid the tardata, etc. The original had triple aaa overlaid for every emplacement I think and the ship objects also had extra hidden aaa and heavy flak. So ex. if you attack a base coded with the triple method and it had 12 visible aaa it really would be 12 x 3 = 36 aaa. In later .exe's this of course would mean you would be shot to ribbons if you tried strafing the bases!! Also on that note people forget that Ralf's work on the gunnery & dm and related while controversal at one time, really made a huge difference for EAW, imho. And of course Tony's (MrJelly) work with OAW Selector and so many things later made it all possible. Tony's Magic number was a big development about that time was the cat's meow with the online use. Later we flew mainly tony's islands scenarios which I actually had some of the best dogfights I've ever with the japs and also online. Feel free to alter the Lake Mission - and call it now the Lake Theatre as you did to avoid confusions. ps. some old links: There were 2 versions of the Lake. 1 in OAW Unified 1.01 EAW Tally Ho Site OAW pagethere is a seperate (hidden) non-OAW Unified version download ~ this is same as OAWunified Final Lake_1 mission but for a non-OAW setup. Direct download (hidden) https://www.sandbagger.uk.com/RafRoy/Lake1MissionNotUnified.zipHowever this is a EAW 1.28 add-on so any new people please do not get confused. You will need Jel's version or redo it to fly Lake theatre in later EAW versions. Cheers! - Roy 2017-2-14

BTW, FYI: Frankly, I am a lousy tactical pilot, so I eventually fell away from online OAW as frankly even back then Ralf, Jel, Dumo, etc. were experts and it was no point to fly against them much. Other than to watch their amazing skills. The truth is I spent more time and often more fun flying my testbeds against the AI's. But I love EAW! This game was the right choice for me at the time because I learned Ton of Computer Knowledge working with it. From hex editing to many aspects of the OS and other upto the latest technologies. To this day * I still increasing my skills in EAW related matters. One reason I recommend EAW as a hobby for to anyone wanting to advance their knowledge! Or fly a real WWII combat sim that is not strickly eye candy. To this day I challenge anyone with any other sim to fly modern EAW (not 1.2 flight model and gunnery / dm - that is arcade junk really) and you will find it rivals any sim FM despite its other shortcomings. Probaly an AI will KIA you with a cannon shot to the head if you aren't careful.. lol! * ex. just noticed hmm.. Sandbagger's has a secure https cert. now great! I would recommend anyone start using http s for the links and safe browsing and for downloads! or use this entry url: https://www.sandbagger.uk.com/home.html

Two things First: There should be a common "seasons" folder in the root folder. Second: For some time the 150 and 160 exes make use of a "UseSeasons" file. It is a dummy file which is not read by the exe. The exe just checks to see if one is there, and if one is present in the theatre folder the exe will use the common "seasons" folder. This was done to avoid having the same "seasons" folder repeated in several different theatres. The "seasons" folder is quite large and adds to download time

There is a "MyLake.exe" now at MediaFire. It should be run in the UAW150V4 folder which has the 160 conversion. It installs the two new exes into "EAW Versions3, the "NewLake" theatre and the file to select it in the "LongDirSets" folder. Jel
