Trying to run WOFF UE on a PC that ran latest WOFF perfectly prior to install of UE.
Did two install attempts..Used Toolbox to uninstall prior WOFF program..each time I try to run the new install of UE edition, I get the error message "Game Terminated Prematurely".
Cannot figure out how or what is wrong, since latest version of WOFF prior to UE Edition ran fine.
The OS is Win 7 Home Pro.
Is there something from CFS3 that was erased or uninstalled when TOOLBOX uninstalled WOFF? Or does UE have the necessary files already included in the download?
Is there anything I may be missing here?
Thanks for any HELP

Curious thing is that the aircraft folder only has 8.4 GB of a/c in the folder, instead of 14.4 GB. So perhaps there is some malfunction with the Plane cloner after the install? Yeah, that certainly seems to indicate a problem with the install ... like the cloner didn't get to complete.

If WOFF UE is broken , then something is. it could be direct X, or video drivers and a install of those would eliminate it.
Also in FAQ see the various sections for example 5,7,16,17,44,47. for help I don't want to type all of that here that's why it's in the doc.. You may need to set compatibility on woff.exe or cfs3.exe for example on your PC.
johnny, check the FAQ has many many step by step help areas including installing WOFF UE.
FAQ is on support page of the web, link below.

Turn everything down to start with (WorkShop Graphics Settings to "1", Woods to "Low", Airfield Complexity to "Low", and Regional Air Activity to "Very Light").
After you see what you FPS are then, you can start upping your numbers till you get where it is unbearable, or purchase a more powerful PC and max out everything.
WOFF is the most demanding flight game I own, and it really takes a strong PC to fly with everything maxed out.
P.S You did not say which Front or what year either. These two items make a big difference in FPS too.
CPU = i9 11900K GPU = RTX 3080 Ti Monitor = ASUS ROG Swift PG32UQX 2160p G-sync

In my own opinion: The rest of the system may be OK, but you're really not going to get very far with a GT 420. That specific graphics card, though it has 2G of memory, uses DDR3 memory which is much (much) slower than the newer DDR5 on most more recent cards. I've seen estimates which put DDR5 twice as fast in throughput as DDR3 (not that the entire card is twice as fast just by having DDR5, but the memory throughput is, and that makes a big difference). Also - and this is what matters more by far - the 420 is at the very lowest end of the entry-level GPUs that Nvidia makes. The "guts" on the card (that is, the parts that actually process the data) are perhaps on the order of 1/24th the requirements for WOFF (I am basing this on the specs for a GT420 and the specs for a GTX660, which is what the WOFF page lists as "minimum".) Please don't take this wrong, but I think you're going to need a better card. Again, the rest of the system may well be OK (i5 CPUs are fairly capable IMHO, but you don't list much else). Have you considered upgrading that card? The right card could make a world of difference; night-and-day as they say Again, please don't take anything I'm saying wrong, just trying to help

Panama and KKSnowbear: Thanks very much for replies. KK- nothing could be taken wrong at all..good advice. Panama- This is a second PC that my daughter had been using. Since it was Win 7 and had a i5 core I thought that it woulkd fly UE well. Hadn't had the low fps when using WOFF 2 or 3 on it apparently. But it is not a PC that I normally run WOFF on. My primary one is an eight year old set up with SLI and a GTX670 Ti GPU. Don't recall the CPU numbers at the moment. It is also Win XP OS. WOFF UE flies perfectly on it.. 60fps and graphics not maxed out but pretty mid to high settings. So I thought this Win 7 and whatever newer hardware it had wouldn't have a problem. I saw the 420 card and I thought that might be the "culprit". I'll get another GPU if the CPU seems up to running WOFF UE. Justed wanted the Win 7 for a back-up so to speak. I haven't upgraded my primary PC because, old that it may be,..it runs WOFF UE perfectly. That's the long back story for the concise and accurate help and advice

In regard to the opening post:- I think the problem is the unzipping of the DX9. I have had problems d/loading and unzipping in the past, I have now managed to get the full install working right up to the 'Contact' sound then the error as described in the opening post appears. I don't know where to designate the DX9 install to and have tried several locations, Povolski was really helpful over Christmas, but to be honest I have just left it till now, perhaps someone could advise. Also I would like to try an install from a DVD but I have already bought a d/load, is there a store option to just get the DVD?
