Hi guys,
Yes, it's finally the sim I've been waiting for for a very long time.
The cockpit isn't the in-game cockpit it's my own virtual cockpit for devicelink
http://www.mediafire.com/file/rv04dr2hz2qp9jr/Aces_cockpit_remakes_for_CloD_V7.rar if you've got a second monitor hooked up, so I can put a dashboard pic wherever and whatever size I like
All my new cockpits have a picture somewhere on the dashboards.
@archermav here's how to get a dashboard pic.
In your C:\Users\
yourusername\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover - MOD\DashPics\
Templates folder or C:\Users\
yourusername\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\DashPics\
Templates folder if you're not running Team Fusion version you'll find several TGA files including a file named "Blank.TGA" this is, a as the name suggests, a blank file of the right dimensions for the dash pic. (256x256 pixels).
You need to take whatever pic you'd like to use and use a suitable graphics/picture editor such as GIMP. Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro etc. to resize your chosen picture to the same size as the Blank.TGA file (256x256 pixels).
Then save this file as a TGA / Truevision Targa file with the filename
1.TGA in the following directory C:\Users\
yourusername\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover - MOD\DashPics\
Selected or C:\Users\
yourusername\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\DashPics\
Selected folder if you don't run Team Fusion version.
That's it, you should now see your chosen dash pic in the cockpit of your plane.
I've always loved photography and art/graphics work, it's the only thing that I ever do where hours turn in to minutes and it seems like there really aren't enough hours in a day. I've always kept my modding/films Youtube channel separate from my photographic art channel but I though why not put a video playlist together and tie everything together --
"Both sides of the coin" - my mods, films and photoart. . In sharp contrast to the biting sharp and somewhat sombre game graphics my art includes many works in my favourite neo-impressionist style.
One of my landscape works: "Plain and Simple" of Richmond Park close to where I live.
and something a bit more abstract :): "Floppy bikes and empty benches"
Sobering thought, I can't believe that I've been a member of SimHQ for more that 16 years, where did all that time go?!.
Kind regard to all
Aces
