Really liking this plug in that is available for Chrome, Firefox, and Opera.

Was not surprised, but still pissed, that I was being tracked all around the web by Facebook and Twitter. I have never had an account at either and avoid them like the plague!

Google has like 5 to 7 different types of tracking cookies floating around.

Personally I am just tired of being tracked by faceless entities that really have no right to be minding my business.

Privacy Badger, from the EFF is a step in the right direction IMO.

Nixer, how does this handle automatic log-ins? Will I have to log into websites or programs that require a log-in or will it continue to be automatic when I have that option?

My pleasure folks.

Completely non-intrusive and a great way to learn about all these privacy invaders on the web.

I think it would be educational for many folks, especially social mediatized ones, young and old.

Sorry but I just don't buy into this "your data is public if you use the internet" line of thinking from Facebook, Google, et al and our ignorant politicians.

No problems with my automatic login's here, or school or anywhere else.

It basically just blocks cookies that track you, although you can manually block whole domains as I have with facebook and twitter.

But you should.

Thanks Nixer. I love it. Now if I can just figure out why I have been getting so many weird e-mails lately?

Looks like a nice find, Nixer.

I've been using Blur, https://dnt.abine.com/#dashboard, but probably not to its fullest capabilities. It has some nice capabilities.

Yeah I saw Blur, but when I tried to sign up, it got all personal. Nope, screw them.
The Badger doesn't install shinola and just really, coolly lets you see how out of control this web tracking stuff has become.

Nice find, I'm giving it a shot too. I like it when they show you a list of what's going on. Years ago when the google toolbar was actually a GOOD thing to have, it was interesting to watch the block list on it too.

Ironically, the first site I've been to that has shown more than a 1 on Badger....is THIS ONE!

It says that there are 37 potential trackers watching me here on Sim Hq. And I never mentioned anything about Russian Wives!

I imagine search history plays a role in leaving those unwanted cookies in your browser.
I only have 15 tracking here. But with the Badger doing its job. I am not here.

Not about to pay for a service like this.

Self bumping because you folks REALLY need to start looking at what you are giving away.

People are getting filthy RICH stealing your data and selling it. If that doesn't bother you...well good luck.
