I have seen grown men cry when listening to this song.

Hi, I'm Larry and this my brother Dayrle, and this is my other brother Dayrle.

Tears in Heaven by Clapton. Once I learned the story behind it, I could hardly bring myself to listen to it.

There Goes My Life by Kenny Chesney.

I'm not a big fan of country music, but when I became a father to a little girl, and a buddy of mine played me that song it just wiped me out. Still does.

I know it's not a sad song really, but it sure makes me bawl every time I hear it.

The saddest song is the one that, at any given time, reminds you of a lost family member or a time long gone by.

Here are three that always remind me of my father who I lost in 2002, my mother who I lost in 2014 and my brother just 5 weeks ago.

Feed Jake gets to me! I had a dog named Jake when that came out.
He's been a good dog.
My best friend, right through it all.
If I die before I wake...feed Jake.

If you know the story of Joey and Rory Feek, Joey was diagnosed with terminal cervical cancer, and this was her tribute song to her husband Rory before she died in 2016.

I can't even watch it.

Nothing compares to losing a young child. Only those who have experienced it, understand. A life what could have been. Therefore, the most sad song is one like this, and the terrible story behind it.

The original NIN version isn't so sad. It's a song of pain and heartbreaking, but it doesn't break your heart like Cash's cover does.

I would have to say "All of My Love" by Led Zeppelin... especially after you find out what the song is about.

This song was a popular summer hit, but when you actually listen to the lyrics it's a very sad song.
