Zero interest. Never saw the tv show.
I'm not trying to sound rude but really, why would any grown man be interested in Power Rangers?

I rather would have a Captain Power remake but with gritty future war action and gore.
Quote:
Adult storyline A great majority of the show's story line was filled with romance and intrigue, which was made for the adults who watched the show with their children. Thus, the story was filled with romantic kisses, sexual innuendo, and occasionally scenes which implied sexual encounters between characters. Mild profanity was also present; "damn" was said on at least one occasion, and Pilot told Blastaar to "go to hell" in response to his order to surrender. In addition, the violent death of one of the major ongoing characters in the series was also an unusual development for a children's series. The inclusion of a "Bio-Dread Youth," which recruited young survivors to Lord Dread's ideals to further advance his agenda, also paralleled the National Socialist and Communist regimes.
I had no interest in the Speed Racer film, and I was a kid when that aired, I certainly have none in something that appeared while I was an adult.
Same with Ninja Turtles, and Pokemon, and all this other stuff. It amuses me no end when I see people talk about something 15 years ago like it was the days of yore. What are they, 21?

I'm curious, how the big budget it has is heart breaking, the whole thing that made power rangers, power rangers, was that fact they made it on pennies and any kid could make the stuff themselves out of cardboard and a bit of material!!

When I was a kid coming home after school, when cable was new, we watched Space Giants and one that I think was called Ultra Man. Now THAT was low budget. Space Giants (probably a bad translation of the real name) had the original transformers. Robot to rocket! Ultra Man was similar to Iron Man but had throwing stars. They did a "Flowers for Algernon" type episode, but in the end the kid turned into a walking brain vampire that ate other peoples' brains instead of just turning retarded again. Ultra Man had to put him down. Very sad.

I'm about the same as age as you Raw and I don't remember either "Space Giants" or "Ultra Man" at all. I'll have to look them up on Youtube now and see if it jogs my memory.

I think they were on TBS? They were already older shows even then, from the 60's/70's. Very much like Godzilla movies with the monster of the day. That was probably around 1981.
All I watched were the classics, like Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry, and Disney back then. When I was older I saw GI Joe and Transformers (only because they were on in the morning as I was getting ready for school) quite a bit, but only the early years.

Ah ok! Circa 1981 I was mostly watching Looney Tunes, Tom & Jerry, GI Joe and Smurfs. Transformers and He-Man came a bit later.

Ok I was off by 2 years. The first GI Joe animated series debuted in 1983.

I stopped watching after the 4th or 5th roster change,
Basically once Amy Jo left.
The Funny part is, the TV Show is 90% Produced in Japan, then they splice in the fighting/dancing/zord scenes w/ American Content recorded state side.
Even the Movies for the Amy Jo/David Frank Group was low Budget... The Ivan Ooz Story was too stupid The 2 or 3 Movies After that were Even Worse.
Small Budget, Goofy / Stupid Scripts and Actors, No one Cared for them, (Turbo was a Joke).
The Mini Short Power Rangers Video Released a few yrs ago w/ Katee Sackhoff and James VDB Got More Attention and Better "Reviews" than all the Goofball Power Rangers Movies Combined.
