Pretty ironic, considering the avalanche of SW movies coming, including a new trilogy after 2025.

Yes, Disney have plans that far out into the future.

My prediction: Luke Skywalker will have lots of screen time and will be killed off.

Hmmm. This will impact my plans for my fan film The Penultimate Jedi.
It will have 3 Lukes, with two skinny ones to balance out the fat one.

At least the title is quite cool smile

In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!

I guess having Chris Griffin play Luke in the Family Guy SW episodes was quite appropriate after all!

Also very interesting considering what Rian Johnson said in an interview about Ep. VIII:

Quote:
Tonally, Episode VIII will emphasize fun. Johnson is aiming for an enjoyable experience rather than a darker middle chapter in the new trilogy. I want it to be a blast and to be funny and to be a ride the way The Force Awakens and the original Star Wars movies were."

Maybe Luke will retire. That would be "fun."

Ok so scratch what I said about Luke. Sounds like Johnson is going for a "Guardians of the Galaxy" or "Firefly" approach with Episode VIII.

I don't see the connection you are trying to make Jayhawk.

Title? wink

Also, knowing Hollywood "creatitvity", this could very well be how the final scene plays out.

Unkas is Luke, Alice is Leia, Magua is Kylo Ren. Hawkeye is Finn/Poe and Chingachgook is Rey.

Just replace the beautiful scenery of the Daniel Day Lewis film with a planet with lots of lava and of course catwalks without railings.

And in Episode IX, Rey will be revealed to be Anakin resurrected, who'll defeat Snoke to once again bring "balance" (TM) to the Force. dizzy

Aren't the words "Star Wars" in this font typically in yellow? Is using the color red some kind of foreshadowing?

Yes, that, or we have the "red" Star Wars... a situational comedy in which an old Jedi has to go to the pharmacy far far away to acquire hygiene products for his very young apprentice, who grows into womanhood while in the isolated island...the scene where he has to explain the whole thing to her using rocks and a lightsaber will be hilarious.

Rey is feeling democratically triggered, where is the blue Star Wars logo?

Or, you know, the title could come from the fact that in the opening crawl of TFA it specifically referred to Luke as the last Jedi. Right after as Yoda lay dying in ROTJ he told Luke "the last of the Jedi will you be."

But yeah, I'm sure an unrelated film about Indians was the inspiration for the title. Or maybe it was The Black Dahlia. That movie had suspense and killing and male and female actors in it, too. Maybe The Italian Job, it had explosions, and lot of cool vehicles, and a diverse cast. Don't forget The Last Ship on TNT, Eric Dane kind of looks like Mark Hamill if you squint a lot.
And of course, Transformers 5 is The Last Knight, which is almost like saying The Last Jedi Knight, so I'm sure there are a ton of connections there.
