I have an ASP Explorer and just updated the FSD from 5C to 5B which now gives me 20 ly unladen.

Bailout, I meant "in game"; it would have been nice to get some information in the game, maybe in the system map at the engineer's location what kind of requirements you'd have to meet before flying there.

I was making much more money with my previous T-6 which was optimized for strict trading (no weapons, improved boosters to escape quickly, etc.). But hauling freight was becoming boring quickly.

I have 1x 1G pulse laser (turret), 1x 1E beam laser, 2x 1G multicannon and 2x 2F mulitcannons. That setup used to tear enemy AI ships to shreds (kill their shields with the energy weapons, rip them to shreds with the mulitcannons). Not any longer!

If you already have an Asp but not enough credits to buy an A rated drive then do the current community trade goal at Parun http://inara.cz/galaxy-communitygoals 2nd one down. Even if you just make it into the top 75% you will probably male enough to buy an A rated fsd for your Asp. I am just heading there now. I usually aim for top 25% but I use a much bigger ship.

I don't know how you guys feel about other players helping out, but if you can find a station that buys/sells Gold or Palladium, I'd be happy to help with a few million credits.

Wow, I've only come back to the game recently and I didn't realise that the engineers could give such a huge boost to jump distances. I think I'll stop ferrying space snowflakes VIP tourists who eject as soon as a bump in the road messes with their hairdo and start working on the engineers instead.

If you don't do anything else with engineers it is worth unlocking Felicity Farseer and getting the rank for grade 5 fsd mods. So much of the game involves jumping between systems.
