Yeah, Redshift's departure surprised me.... I wonder what's going on? I would've expected him to just store his hardware if RL stuff got in the way but with him selling, I think that points to other issues. Anyway, best of luck to him.

True, and I have no idea either. And with no price listed it occurred to me it could be more of 'making a point' if you know what I mean. But if he is really selling, it could be a good grab for someone looking for a nice setup.
Edit: Dayum, $35 for the TIR, though as Ice pointed out no indication of which model. Probably a TIR 5 though.
Warthog is gone already. I bet that was a good price.

By the way, managed to get in a campaign hop yesterday. Just a simple HARMCAP in Rolling Fire. Still very rusty, but managed to hit with one of my HARMs and knocked down three gomers without taking damage. So it's a good start! A few more days and I should be ready to go.

DBond, the pitch down 90 is nice. I'm keeping it as I needed the help for visual spotting ground targets off to my sides. It's my favorite way and this is a big help. It gives me more room, also means my TIR doesn't have to be set perfect everytime.
The dogfight cancel wasn't compatible with my rig. It's already doing what this fixes but I tried it to be sure. No damage done just trying it, just set it back to 0.
I haven't tried the takeoff time mod, but it sounds good. Would all clients need to match this in multi-player? Not that I would object, just curious.
Glad to hear of your de-rusting success.

Good question, and don't know the answer. I'm guessing it's client-side but not sure. We were using it in the spring, but that was on a dedicated server.
I'm surprised that your Cougar DF cancel was working. Wonder why it would work for you, but for me it didn't until I made this change? Falcon eh?

Maybe his DF cancel is set in the configuration tool on the start screen. You can set it there or in the config. file folder. Glad to hear you're shaking off the rust Derek. Redshift is OK, it was a personal matter on his end and I'll say no more. But he is in good health. I'm pretty sure the taxi time is going to be MP critical. Not hard to fix though. Just need to have everyone on same setting before committing. Clue: Another one you might like, under the MP section

OK, in the config utility, right. I probably did it there as well. Just was rummaging through the cfg file to see if I remembered any changes to share with Axe.
As for the taxi time, I guess the other guys had made the same change, or perhaps Oden had changed it on the server.
Yes, rust is coming off. Not long now.

I'm running through Tiger Spirit right now and for the first half a day was getting my ass handed to me. But it's about 1000 on day 2 now, and the enemy air presence has been noticeably reduced. Perhaps that's why I let my guard down on a BAI with CBU97s and got shot down by a MiG-21. But I killed three of the gomers before they got me. Plus four tanks.

And plenty of bad info too Finally got around to trying out my Uber2 NXT Cougar tonight. When it arrived I inspected it for damage, but not wanting to risk falling afoul of the Falcon Gods, I left my working-fine Cougar set up and connected. When it ain't broke and all that. But quite disappointed to find that the Antenna rotary doesn't work. The seller said it all worked flawlessly, and there is a chance that when it shipped, it did. Still, not good. Anyway, I had never used any Cougar other than my own. No one I know does anything like F4, so no one would have a high end stick, or probably a low end for that matter. But it gave me a chance to compare the two mods, Evenstrain and Uber 2. To be fair, I removed the rubber boot from my stick 15 years ago, and had even forgotten it came with one. That may be part of it, but after trying the new stick out for a while I like the Evenstrain better. Smoother and lighter. Subjective preference to be sure. And some of that is surely the resistance imparted by the boot. The new throttle has the detents removed, and is smooth, but a little stiction on small corrections. But no 'model train going over the tracks' detent rattle like my original. It sucks that the antenna rotary is dead, as I would really like to pair the old stick and new throttle. Guess some of my own mod work is in order. Like I will ever get around to that. At least I have a mostly working backup.

My guess is that if someone commits earlier, then the others who intend to commit 3 min's later, will be waiting for the 'one second at a time clock' to spend 3 mins' before they can get in. Just a guess, I don't know.
Yes, that should be right. Once of the things we tried on our dedicated server was to put it in the 3D, Supposed to maybe help with stability, maybe. So that meant the clock always ran real time, no speedy commits. If we're hosting local it won't be an issue, but if Oden or anyone puts up another dedicated server it might be that way again. Maybe Oden feels differently, but I can't say it proved to be more or less stable.

I really never saw any stability improvement from server in 3D. What did wonders though was to restart the server every 24 hours. Ded.server or not I would recommend to keep all pilots in the same flight even if planning to use different tools and other roles supporting eachothers. If you want to go big picture in a package but seperate flights having AI (we never did this setup, did we DBond?) the 2-3 minutes slow Clock can easily be filled with useless chat and weird jokes while waiting - it's not really that long considering an hour-long flight ahead

Agreed, that made the most difference. (we never did this setup, did we DBond?) Hmm, we talked about it alot, so we must have right? Well, maybe not since in our first go in Balkans we had AI wingman issues right off the bat, so from that point on we limited their involvement.

That would be great. I did give it a light pull, and a small bash but nothing changed. I'll try it again. If that's all it took I'd be really happy.
