I hate getting my hopes up too high when it concerns games...but it's happening anyway. The title would cause me to assume that this will center on the second half of WW2 when the Allied air forces were carrying the war home to Germany. I hope so, because I'm Battle of Britained, out. Enough. Lancasters in night raids over Berlin. B17's over Schwienfurt, Rocket firing Typhoons, dive bombing Thunderbolts!! Whew, sorry, got a bit carried away there. Yeah... this should be good.
"From our orbital vantage point, we observe an earth without borders, full of peace, beauty and magnificence, and we pray that humanity as a whole can imagine a borderless world as we see it, and strive to live as one in peace." Astronaut William C. McCool RIP, January 29, 2003 - Space Shuttle Columbia

I know it's quite old, but have you ever tried 'B-17II, The Mighty Eighth'? It might whet your appetite until WOTR comes out.
Oh yeah, and the first one, Screaming Demons Over Europe, IL2-1946 and many many other flight sims but those ones i remember having flyable B-17's.
