Hi all, 1. If you have a Mod uploaded to the new Mods page, please check regularly to ensure it is at the latest version. 2. If you have an update for your Mod ready for release, please PM me beforehand, so that I can update your Mod on the Mod page.
Thanks,

Hi Sandbagger,
Do you plan to bring back more of the mods from the old OBD WOFF modders page?
There is a request in another thread for Olham's river mod (which I'm currently using with WOFF UE). I'd like to find Lou's "Bray Dunes Only" version of his Combined Airfields mod.
Most of us have most of these mods, so if you need them again for upload just let us know. I'm sure between us, we could come up with all of them.
I had to send Olham's "Cockpit Skins Mod with Face Mask mods" to someone for the Face Mask portion the other day.
I know its lots of work, but could you please move our "history" over to the new page you're hosting?
Even if a mod no longer works with a particular version, there are learning opportunities in the old mods. Even though I had to change things up a bit, I would have had no idea how to modify rear gunner accuracy if not for HPW's original mod.
Once they are no longer relevant, maybe you could move them to an archive page on your website? In some cases we are losing working mods, and in every case we are losing knowledge when we can't access an old mod anymore.
I learned everything I know about WOFF from the old OFF mods on Combat Ace. They didn't work with WOFF, but they got me close enough to find a new solution. I'm sure others have learned the same way.
Thanks!
P.S. Another idea, if you plan to only host currently working mods, one of us could start an archive site for the old mods (or start adding them to Combat Ace). We need to preserve this work somehow.

Lou's Bray Dunes mod was never completed. It is missing some of the Fall and Winter tiles. He promised to finish working on it once he finishes another WOFF project.

Hi Panama, I know. I've got Lou's combined airfields mod, which is also missing the Fall and Winter tiles for Bray Dunes. I was stripping out Boistrancourt last night so I could load Bray Dunes without overwriting the new "in-game" Boistrancourt files, and was planning to use Bray Dunes "as is" until Lou finished it. But then I realized, "Hey, it was a stand alone. I'll just download that for the time being." But now I can't find the stand alone anymore. Anyway, just hate to see all this stuff disappearing. What if Lou get's hit by the proverbial bus tomorrow? Stay safe, Lou!

Hi Sandbagger, I was thinking about it some more, and "old" mods would also represent a support nightmare for OBD. So maybe you could create a second page called "Retired Mods" with the heading: THESE MODS DON'T WORK ANYMORE, BUT HAVE BEEN RETAINED AS A KNOWLEDGE BASE.
*************THESE MODS ARE GUARANTEED TO BREAK YOUR WOFF INSTALLATION!*************It would be like issuing an official death certificate for the mod just by placing it on this page, but then we'd still have access to them as a knowledge base. Stick them all in there and let us tell you if any of them still work. If you don't hear from a modder, you can leave the mod as officially dead. Might even help support "What mod are you running? Sorry, check our Retired Mods page, that mod is no longer working." And you wouldn't have to prove they were still working or not, it would be up to the modder to do that and contact you. If not, the mod remains officially dead on the Retired Mods page until they do. I was just trying to think of a "low" energy effort on yours/OBD's part to somehow bring back our WOFF modding knowledge base, which is what those old mods represent. Just an idea. P.S. You could even have some fun with it. Use a photograph of a devastatingly crashed WWI aircraft as the page's background image to say "These mods have crashed and burned!" Put a stake in them, but give us access to the mausoleum

There seems to be something wrong with the 'user mods' page as most of the mods are not shown any more Hi Jim, The WOFF main site has been completely revamped and the user mods section was dropped as we have the mods page at SimHQ. Also there was always the danger of different versions clashing between mods on the site and on the SimHQ page. I have raised the Users Mods page in order to try to centralize mods and so that creators don't have the hassle of uploading their mods to various download sites. Also users can go to the one location and download, without having to creation accounts with various download sites. At the moment the page hosts WOFF or WOFF UE mods that have been tried and tested. Each would be updated as and when the creator lets me know. As far as I'm aware, any mods not on the page will be those not yet submitted for uploading by the creators or those that are not compatible with WOFF or WOFF UE (e.g. OFF, HITR etc). It is possible in the future that earlier iterations (OFF, HITR etc) could be hosted also. If you spot a download error on any of the mods, just PM me and I'll get it sorted pronto.

Put a stake in them, but give us access to the mausoleum Hi Bucksnort, As I mentioned in my reply to Jim (above), I'd have no objections to creating downloads for older or obsolete mods. However I am not a modder as such, so I need those who either created the mods or users who have them, to PM me with the details and file(s). As long as the PM includes information as to the mods creator, compatibility, usability etc, then I can host the mod. Basically, if I'm given whats needed, the Mods will be hosted (even if for archive purposes), which is what I've done over the years for the 'Tally-Ho' hosting site for European Air War. That site even has complete modders web sites that go way back.

Thank you so much for this, Sandbagger! I've got an Olham mod that was on the WOFF main site called "Albatross Cockpit Skins" that also includes Olham's Face Mask mod. I broke it into two separate mods, and I'm using the Face Mask mod in WOFF UE right now. I'll check the Albatross Cockpit portion for UE (it worked with WOFF 3) and let you know its status when I send them to you. I've got several more requests for this mod now after I mentioned it in my prior note (should have seen that coming...lol) - hang tight guys, I think Sandbagger will have this in a few days. Cheers!

Hi Rob, Don't think Olham's mod was included in the batch you sent, but Bill sent it through and it's on-site now.
