I kept all three: combat flight simulator, CFS2, and CFS3.

I was going to set them back up on my old rig but I noticed that I do not have a CD key for CFS3 (I usually affix them with a sticker to the case).

So two questions before I try to reload it (not much space on the old drive so I'd have to delete another game to load the last one).

Did that game require a CD Key? If so, does anyone know where I could find one?

I called the Microsoft line and they were real helpful...said no one ever. I got some kid that sounded like he was 12, with an accent so thick that I caught ever other word. He never heard of it and apparently was unable to find it in his nifty book of old games (truth be told, I don't think that he could understand me either).

Any help would, of course, be appreciated, guys.

Hi Blackard i can only speak for myself..i did a fresh install of CFS3 4 days ago,it never at any time asked me for a cd key (full install)

EDIT: just got my case open,no cd key anywhere to be found either on the case or in the manual mate

No CD or DVD key (depending on which version you have) on any of my old CFS3 games, just load and go.

Just remember, if you have Win10, getting the old CFS3 to work takes some tricks.

I've actually kept one of my old rigs with win xp on it because it worked so well with so many games (so glad that I did now). Loading there just so that I can play it a bit.

I think I'll eventually load it up on this one when I have time to play around with it. Right now, very busy with the business so my time is limited. As you said, "load and go" is the goal for now.

Quick update. Decided to go and put them on my new machine. Got both CFS2 and CFS3 running nicely. Didn't take long.
