He turned 90 last Tuesday and celebrated his birthday by announcing that his new LP, Chuck, the guitarist's first LP in 38 years, will arrive in 2017 on Dualtone Records. wink

LOL

If memory serves, Chuck owes so much money due to divorce settlements that he can not afford to stop working.

Whatever the reason, I am going to love this album.

Buddy Guy is still around too, though he is only about 80 and he released a new album earlier this year as well.

I saw him this summer and the audience had to follow him as he walked through the entire venue, while playing.

I hope I know my own name at that age. biggrin

The money he owed is due to a class action lawsuit from 59 women when he was caught with video tapes of the women's restaurant restroom.

That was in the 90's and he copped a plea to get out from under some of the charges.

He's a great guitarist and he definitely had his creative height during the 1950's and early 60's. I just don't see many people buying this new album.

It always amazes me when I hear about some of these people. So talented and successful when it comes to their music, or acting. But such losers in their everyday lives.

This might explain why our society is so obsessed with celebs. The public sees their incredible talent and that gets equated with having some kind of ideal life and amazing character that average every day people wish they had.

Just don't expect too much of his live performances. He seems to have lost it the last couple of years.

A great video by one of Chuck's more well known fans, who has also seen his better days physically.

Cool Vid and not just music

Oh man, thanks for that video. I closed my eyes, turned my headsets up all the way and it was terrific. I especially liked "Catch The Blues." It had a Santana feel to it that I really liked. It was great.

I still listen to Chuck on occasion, Maybellene being my favorite.

Thanks for that link. I'm glad to see his Eczema cleared up. I had seen a video of him playing with the mittens on, and had wondered if we would be seeing any new music from him in the future. It looks like the odds are better than what I was previously thinking.

I must admit it was a good vid Nixer smile ... nice attempt at a total thread hijack too. smile

On the physically disabled front, all I have to say is Keith Richards finger joints are clearly swollen and bent with arthritis ...

He keeps on playing though!

I dont see that level of disability in Claptons hands at all. In the vid you posted his hands look like he's never worked a day in his life!

Just IMO of course.
