I click on "Play" and it lets me choose from three different product keys: Elite Dangerous, Horizons, or Commander Pack. Which one do I pick?

Choosing Elite Dangerous is just the base product. Horizons is the good stuff.

The Commander Pack is probably Horizons plus the bonus goodies, but I'm not sure.

I am having serious issues just to start this game. Why am I being given a choice? I bought Horizon and Commanders Pack. I am about to lose my sh!t. How does one (human being) start this game?

J. H. Christ. How the F do I get this miserable piece of feces off of my M. F. PC? I keep sending these M. F. my product code. And then I enter the verification code which they send to my e-mail. So now I am in a loop of entering the code they send me and it doesn't work.

hmm I don't remember ever having to do a code other than the normal game/CD key. Did you purchase it through Steam or somewhere else?

Just start the game. If you don't like it, quit it, and start another one. One of the members here, DukeIronHand, has done this a million, billion times So don't sweat it. If you're in the wrong "branch," just use it as a learning experience for when you play "for real." Think of it as your "training period" before you ventured out on your own!

It may simply take a couple of hours for your new Frontier Account to update. Frontier are the one who actually control/manage your account and support, not Steam, if you bought through that.

It's the same when buying a new paint, it may take an hour or two for it to be updated into your account.

If you are still having trouble, certainly write to Frontier support. They are very responsive.

letterboy I had the exact same problem a few months back.
I had to place a support ticket through there support system to get it sorted in the end, its a common problem I believe.

By the way, just in case I went to the Frontiers website where you can go in there under your account and redeem your product codes. I did it for all three that come with my purchase - Commander's Pack, Season Pass, And Elite Dangerous. Maybe that will help.

Wow, docking calls for your attention already. I can only imagine that combat will be more demanding. Okay, pretty demanding.

I have the docking computer on all my ships. Whilst it's docking you can start doing other stuff.Depends if you want to give up a slot on the ship.

Just bought a 2nd account (Commanders Pack) just today and again zero issues.

Do you buy that from the Frontier store or inside the game?

In the game. It's a ship part (module) like shields, cargo space, fuel scoops, etc
I personally wouldn't waste a space on it but I use a joystick and TrackIR

So cash will not translate to in-game currency? Do they sell things like Rise of Flight sells planes?

All that they sell for real cash are cosmetics, change the color of your ship, or addon custom laser colors, or such.

None of those items impact your ships or weapons performance. Just the visuals. And they do not sell in-game currency, and have said they never will.
