I tried to like the show because I'm a sci-fi fan, but I can't get into it. It's the characters. They aren't interesting. I will admit that the only one who really comes close to my expectations from the books is Miller. Holden is too young in the series, Amos is...well, I don't know what Amos is, but he DEFINITELY isn't the same character I met in the books. Alex and Naomi are kinda just there in the books, at least to me, so I don't have too much of an opinion of their TV characters either way. I think I superimpose the more-developed characters from the books onto the TV characters.

They only get 40 mins per ep, or 400 mins in a season. Putting it that way, it's not even 7 hours, and drawing out a sex scene is not a good use of time. You got the idea, time for the next scene.

IMO, kudos for them for abbreviating what most shows drag out for no reason. Yes, we get it, they did it. Move on.

As Amos said in "Leviathan Wakes," Holy #%&*$#, you guys are doing it! ... You guys are finally playing hide the weasel. It can be made known in the same amount of time it would take Amos to speak those words without compromising the story.

It's not supposed to be filmed in real time. That's the essence of editing. Welcome to your own opinion of course, but it didn't stand out to me at all.

Continuity would be if they were naked...then had clothes...then didn't. That's poor. This is a skip forward in time. Eliminate the 30 seconds of them disrobing because that's not what this show is about.
When you saw Kirk walk off the bridge and then the next scene is him walking into engineering to see Scotty, did you scream "WTF??! The bridge and engineering aren't next to each other!!!" or did you just accept that they cut out the elevator and corridor walking because it wasn't important?
Oh, and they had 50 minutes for a show back then, not 40, so you had 10 more minutes to devote to character beats like walking and taking off clothes and rubbing their eyes and taking a sip of water.

Latest episode was reaching. First, Miller was running out of oxygen. I guess they forgot about that. Second, the asteroid was where in relation to Earth? It was far, or appeared to be, but the show didn't model the visual delay of observing Eros from Earth, nor the delay from communicating with the crew on the ship. Third, the nukes were still burning through the black, way after they left Earth's atmosphere. Their engines would have probably run out of fuel long before that. I laughed when the asteroid headed for Earth. That's such a common sci-fi trope that I pretty much threw my arms up in the air and said, "Of course!" Maybe I'm being too critical--I love the show regardless.

Well there's also sound from objects in space, the majority of people don't care about physical fidelity but expect to hear sounds from certain things. Foley artists put sounds where we wouldn't hear them in real life or where they'd be too faint to hear. As far as the time delay, when Holden was talking with the UN Council the screen showed a 15 minute delay. If the missiles use the same Epstein drive that ships like the Roci do, their power comes from a nuclear reactor so fuel isn't much of an issue. Miller's O2 level? Who knows how long a fully charged tank lasts? A Belter spacesuit meant for a full shift's work in vacuum would have enough oxygen for a shift plus a healthy reserve in case of emergency, such as thruster or airlock malfunction. Let's say a full 2 shifts worth for a full tank.

Let's say a full 2 shifts worth for a full tank. He tore his suit in the previous episode, and it showed only several minutes of air left after he applied the patch. Unless I misinterpreted what happened? I'll have to watch again to look for the delay. I didn't see it. Only reason I'm being picky is because the show has been fantastically realistic relative to most sci-fi shows or films, which is refreshing for a change.

I assumed it showed O2 percentage, but once the season is over I'll binge watch everything and maybe remember to look LOL

Really? Our Spectrum on demand is definitely less. For instance, watched an episode of Colony last night. Normally show is like 43 mins, but on demand with FF disabled it was 48. Much less than watching 60 for the same 43 mins. However, time was definitely compressed. There are some good pictures of Eros here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/433_Eros The show leaves out its rotation, which is bizarre to see and would definitely hinder colonization unless it's halted or altered. It orbits the Sun offset, so while part of its orbit it is between Earth and Mars, part of the time it's beyond Mars. At its closest, it is 16m miles from Earth. At its farthest, farther than Mars of course. Good shot of the orbit here: http://earthsky.org/space/asteroid-eros-at-its-closest-since-1975-on-january-31So, to travel from Eros where it was at its closest to Venus, well the smallest possible distance I would estimate to be 42m miles, or roughly half way from Earth to the Sun overall. This is assuming Eros, Earth and Venus are all in a line with their shortest possible distances from each other. At max, it would be farther than the distance from Mars to Venus at their farthest points, which is REALLY far. I don't know how fast ships are supposed to travel in this show, but to move 42m miles takes weeks with our fastest probes now, after multiple gravity assists, and a rock the size of Eros accelerating to that speed should take quite a while as well. The ships are definitely faster in the TV series than the book. Or, maybe not faster, but with higher acceleration. So it's just a manner of degree.
