Russian programmers really don't understand this "left hand" British device:
P-8 compass
"Lubber Line" don't turn together with Course Setter scale, is the reference for set given course, so need be
stationary at 12:00 o'clock.
In Mk. IX P-8 is more useless than in CloD (there Lubber Line is missing, but has that dumb blue HUD informing the adjusted course).
EDIT. Ops, is not useless, there is a pin welded in bowl bottom and allow set course - need turn on flood lights to see.
British peculiarities: set "Red on Red", calibrate DG, then all became un-calibrated after maneuvers, so do this again, and again... - in flight.
