Well if this means fewer and smaller patches I say 'Yah!'

My current patch size is 12 Gbs and I'd download this if I knew I could keep up. My monthly data transfer is limited so it's difficult to keep updated. Bloody hell.

This makes it sound as if the boats have been released with this patch. I just installed the patch and the only difference I saw was that the bombers now have cockpits. No torpedo boats.

About damn time! I'll go check it out soon.I don't think I've played it for 6 months at least.

Their spotting system is still in beta. Obviously they don't think the Mk.1 Eyeball is good enough and need some wonky game mechanic to "simulate" something you don't need to put skill points into. Keen vision my ass.

Their videos were directed by Michael Bay and approved by Vladimir Putin.

Just tried the "official" (non-beta) version of War Thunder and all I have to say is:

Four (4) shots with SABOT rounds fired from a Comet on the frontal arc of a Tiger I in order to kill it!

Two (2) shots with SABOT rounds fired from a Comet on the frontal arc of a Panther D in order to kill it!

One (1) shot with SABOT rounds fired from a Comet on a King Tiger turret fired from around 20 meters and the result was NOTHING/Undamaged!

No thanks - this is direct uninstall for me.

British solid shot is utter crap in the game.

I would say that anything in the game that isn't Soviet/Russian and partially German is utter crap.

There is a closed Beta for naval; torpedo boats only at the moment.

Is it just me or has War Thunder's servers and connections been even #%&*$# than normal since the update? Even a slow connection should have a ping rate better than 999.

They have said they only plan to release pt boats. No cruisers, destroyers, battleships, carriers, and especially no subs.

Tomorrow's April Fools is helicopters and modern tanks. Since Gaijin uses April Fools jokes for testing (testing ERA maybe along with laser guided missiles) new mechanics then Modern Thunder may be more than just a running joke now. The playerbase has been demanding modern tanks for a few years now. Hell, we want all the post war tanks to have their own game or game mode. If this happens, the Maus will rule the battlefield again and not be a useless tank. This way the WWII tankers would be happy and the problem of power creep would have been somewhat fixed. Modern Thunder could still see Germany starting with the King Tiger as a reserve tank and I would be happy with that. Plus the Brits will finally have a tank that's worth a damn.
