as one of their early lyrics incidentally noted, these guys were locally famous for being booked as an opening act and leaving an immense crater in the stage for the lead act to try to fill...
and what a talent, but busy spending his time en francais so no english exposure in decades
always liked this, took years for it to appear on youtube...
one of the first Vancouver bands, made a big impact on young aspiring musicians and fans, finally got to meet that fantastic drummer and tell him how much we loved hearing his stuff decades ago
Oh, and one more Trooper, cuz they knew how to craft a lyric and a melody (an almost dead art now, it seems)
The rusty wire that holds the cork that keeps the anger in Gives way and suddenly it’s day again The sun is in the east Even though the day is done Two suns in the sunset, hmph Could be the human race is run
Human Race ... pretty inspirational song for guys over 60! ...
Lil more groovin' ... End of the Line ...
Okay LB...nice find! Rik Emmett sure isn't as pretty as he used to be with Triumph...but he can still rock...lol.
I only threw this post out there because sometimes this seems like just a Rush board...lol. There are other great acts, and it might be blasphemous, but to me I liked them better than Rush.

Nothing wrong with that. If everyone were a hardcore Rush fan, my seats would have sucked *all* of the time (I managed 13th row once).

The lead singer is said to have the most annoying voice in Canadian rock but he never fails to get people going LOL! (and no, his name isn't Billy Talent) ...
I love Barenaked Ladies! I was mainly going for awesome harder "rock" and guess I considered them a little more poppy alt rock...but still awesome...lol. They were a lot better with Steven Page though...he WAS the voice of the BNLs. Few of my favorites...
