Giving TF access to CloD source code is the single most important move 1CGS could make toward regaining the good will of members of the community who might believe that BoS/M/K/* is not a worthy successor to the Il2 series. Wonder what Oleg's take on this announcement might be.
2. Within a few weeks of the signing, TFS releases a single-install compilation of all Team Fusion work up to TF 4.312 as a 'Community Mod'. This package will be hosted on Steam as an optional update for all original game owners. 3. Within a number of months, TFS releases a new edition of the original game. This will have all the current TF 4.312 'mods', but this time these work-arounds and adaptions will be properly written to the Source Code, and the game will also be upgraded to DX11. In addition, we will provide a number of 'extras' over what is currently in TF 4.312. We can't say what these will be at this point, but we are sure the community will appreciate them. This 'new' game will replace the old one on Steam, and will be a free upgrade to those who already own CLIFFS. 4. With a completion date of 2017, work on TF 5.0 will proceed. As mentioned, we will be adding the P-40 to the aircraft already promoted in our TF updates to this point. There will be other additions, although the details will have to wait for our regular updates to reveal.
To me, #4 certainly seems like something that might require money. Meanwhile, #3 will hopefully spur new sales on Steam which will help them out.

Ditto. As they hash out some of theses big changes in the BOS series I have a watchful eye out on BOM and BOK. After seeing how well this Direct X11 change does I am looking at pulling the trigger on BOM. Hoping for a Christmas sale. I will gladly pay for TFS addons also. After all they have provided me for free, how could I not pay for a source code addon that will most likely be even better than what they have already produced. I must say, whether you like Jason/1C or not, this surely sets up all parties involved to give die hard flight simmers what they want while making money. I hope each company can do it and be profitable and maybe bring about ROF 2.

the current 2017 dx11 version of BoS is absolutely becoming a worthy successor of Il2 series and the graphics are stunning. You'd have to be a little crazy at this point to see otherwise. Even Il2 had a modded cloud layer you could fly through.
what ATAG did to fix Clod was truly astounding..... But the graphics are dated, especially when it comes the non-existent 1 dimensional puffer clouds.(Even though history tells us BoB was mostly cloudless skies) With the code who knows though...they could accomplish anything
It was just be disappointing to see a 3rd AF future campaign with the same dated skybox after flying the awesome skies of Bos
