I don't know if it counts as a TV show like you meant, but watching the Apollo astronauts walk on the moon is something I will never forget.

WTH, I didn't even look at the HRP video, and I can't get that fricking annoying song out of my mind. H.R. Pufnstuff, Who's your friend when things get rough? H.R. Pufnstuff Can't do a little cause he can't do enough. Good God, I could be brainwashed and set off by a trigger word. If I got up too early it would be on, forcing me to watch it before "Jonny Quest" would come on.

I don't know if it counts as a TV show like you meant, but watching the Apollo astronauts walk on the moon is something I will never forget. It might not count for what the OP was after but I agree. That was the most amazing thing I ever saw on a television and that includes all of the hours I spent watching Star Trek.

Somehow I missed HR Puf, as I have no memories of it. I do remember Star Trek, though, and Battlestar Galactica.
Oh, and Land of the Lost, Sesame Street and Electric Company, but I didn't really care too much about them.

At age 5 I was watching Speed Racer (reruns), Starblazers, Looney Tunes, The Bugaloos (reruns) and Land of the Lost (reruns). Never saw Starblazers but the rest were on my to watch list. I think the girl that played Joy (Caroline Ellis) in The Bugaloos was my first celebrity crush. Wheels

Blake's 7. Intergalactic freedom fighter is framed for paedophilia and sent to a prison planet, only to be broken out by a rag-tag crew of mercenaries he recruits to overthrow the evil fascist Galactic Federation. Whichever way you cut it, it was quite a lot to take on for a six year old

Rag Tag & Bobtail, & Muffin the Mule (probably now a criminal offence!) on a 9-inch black and white screen back in 1953 Did you have 2 or 3 channels back then? Until around 1985 - 4 UHF stations including PBS, and 2 VHF stations. Then we got cable and it changed EVERYTHING!

Rag Tag & Bobtail, & Muffin the Mule (probably now a criminal offence!) on a 9-inch black and white screen back in 1953 Did you have 2 or 3 channels back then? Just the one. The second didn't come until 1955, and the third (BBC2) in 1964.
