If you have bad weather, the mission never loads, it just tells you that you have bad weather and all missions canceled.
If you go into the game and then drop to the Debriefing Screen (without any in-game error messages), that means you have something external to the game causing problems.
Those could be things such as video driver conflicts, Windows updates, anti-virus updates, miscellaneous other program updates, etc.
The tough part is tracking all those other items down effecting WOFF, I know because it took me over a year to track down and eliminate all the outside problems effecting my WOFF game a couple of years ago.

It is in the Appdata\Roaming\OBD folder, the file is named Woffkey.xcl or something like that. Atleast thats where it is found in Windows 7. Appdata is a hidden folder ,type %appdata% in the Windows search function. Thanks for that gouge. Understand about AppData being a hidden file, I've checked the box that displays them and made a shortcut for the folder. I'm pretty proficient at un-installs and re-installs. It's the re-mapping my HOTAS that is tiresome.

The WOFFKeys.xca file ... and others... are backed by the Robert Wiggins backup program. Available on the user mods page... Much obliged, and it works with W10. I needed to find the WOFFKeys.xca in order to edit it and try to stop some very odd behavior with key re-mapping. In the Workshops I'd unbind keys for the joystick, Save, change to throttle controller, unbind keys, Save, change to rudder pedal controller, unbind keys, Save. Then I'd check each controller in sequence only to find that key bindings would repopulate. An honest to goodness WTF episode! Manually deleting the Button ID lines in the .xca file with Notepad then re-mapping stopped the weirdness. EDIT: So far so good. The latest re-install is currently working as expected, error free. Fingers crossed.

I think my solution was to Unbind stick, save, unbind throttle, save, unbind pedals, save. Exit restart, make sure everything is unbound, then repeat the process binding one controller at a time.

It is necessary to see the contents of log files (located at Log folder) to investigate unexpected crashes. Without looking at logs it is just poor guessing .

Do not know about that.... if you have not already I'd send and email to support. Much obliged, I'm not at a DEFCON level requiring that just yet. But I have the FAQs readily available with their required files's location noted. It is necessary to see the contents of log files (located at Log folder) to investigate unexpected crashes. Without looking at logs it is just poor guessing . Thank you kindly. Right now I don't mind guessing, even if poorly guessing. So far I'm pretty adept at clean re-installs and with your help locating the .xca file, setting up my controllers is painless (even before Stache reminded me about Robert Wiggins' essential backup utility). Having said that I've probably jinxed myself, just watch, my PC will lock up and both drives will spontaneously erase.
