No mate, Torrevieja, Alicante province. 40 miles south of Benidorm. 25 miles south of Alicante airport. They dont do proper lamb doner over here. Its either beef or chicken. The beef is usually nicer, kinda spiced like lamb doner. Or, get a mix of both.

Sloppy Joes for dinner tonight, because, hey, Sloppy Joes.

I love lamb and especially the vindaloo variety. Ah, a fellow vindaloo connoisseur. Ever make your own using this? https://www.pataks.co.uk/products/spice-pastes/vindaloo-pasteInstructions are on the label and this is curry house quality stuff. It is a paste and is just the spices so you are still making it yourself, just not having to get all the different spices and vinegar (yes, vin in vindaloo means vinegar), just need a couple of large tablespoons, or about half the jar if you want it *really* hot. I can buy it in Canada at numerous grocery stores so should be available in the USA too. @U-96, love me a chip butty but without ketchup.

KFC hot wings tonight. Keeping it simple. Coleslaw and mashed potatoes on the side.
The issue is not p*ssy. The issue is monkey.

KFC hot wings tonight. Keeping it simple. Coleslaw and mashed potatoes on the side. You seem to be more of a cook than I am. Even though it's KFC? You must be referring to my many other posts where I discuss actually preparing my own dishes from scratch. Well, cooking can be an expensive hobby when you start to develop an interest in it. All it takes is that one time you get it right and it tastes like that restaurant version you once had - then you're hooked. I once tried somebody's "copy" version of Olive Garden's Zuppa Toscana and it was insanely delicious. I also had the same kind of success with a recipe for teriyaki chicken which called for Japanese mirin wine as well as sake for the marinade - hit the nail on the head! What you don't realize at the beginning is that all those ingredients add up more than you expect at the cash register (especially when you aren't even at the mid-range tax bracket). Then you start looking at cutlery and cooking ware . . . well, it becomes like CPUs, RAM, video cards, and mother boards! Addictive! So for tonight I chose the mid-range budget gourmet route, Kentucky Fried Chicken.
The issue is not p*ssy. The issue is monkey.

Hmmm...recipes never thought of that. Next you'll be saying I need a measuring cup! I learned and learn from watching and experimenting. Cooking can be pretty darn cheap if you shop hard enough. Tonite is my last (for awhile) Prime Rib Night! How does a starving Artist/Student/Low Fixed Income Disabled Retiree afford Prime Rib? Simple . A couple of weeks ago Winn Dixie had a sale on cheap Bone-In Rib Eyes for $4.99 a lb! Most were crap but I know a meat guy in my local one and asked him to keep an eye out for a decent small (8 lb or less) one that looks nice and marbled and cut me about 4 lb. I went back the next day of the two day sale and he had cut me an awesome almost 4 lb piece that looked better than some USDA Prime ones I have cooked in restaurants. For under 20 bucks I have had 3 full on Prime Rib Dinners (about a 12 oz cut) and like 4 French Dips made with thin sliced prime Rib. I sure miss my dirt cheap shrimp and oysters from LA though....haven't had either in awhile. edit: That French Fry sammitch looks like a cardiologists wetdream.

Look for me on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook or Tic Toc...or anywhere you may frequent, besides SimHq, on the Global Scam Net. Aka, the internet. I am not there, never have been or ever will be, but the fruitless search may be more gratifying then the "content" you might otherwise be exposed to.

Wife and mother tag-teaming dinner has become a Sunday tradition in my home, this time I lost a 3-to-1 vote in favor of non-seafood (mom let me down against the other two). + Ground beef/turkey patty with Swiss (includes lots of little ingredients and spices). + Ham basted with pineapple juice and brown sugar (also boiled to reduce sodium). + Oven roasted cabbage and Brussels Sprouts. + Tomato and avocado salad. If you would have told me 10+ years ago that I'd be eating Brussels Sprouts like candy, I would have said, "Get the ef outta here!" Cabbage too, for that matter. Everything tastes good oven roasted (w/olive oil, onion powder, garlic powder)!

I sure miss my dirt cheap shrimp and oysters from LA though....haven't had either in awhile. Oysters! That's what was missing in my seafood gumbo yesterday, there were no oysters (and we're in a month with an "r" in it)! Plus, judging by last years pics, I don't think my bowl of gumbo was as big this time. Also, my slice of sweet potato pie looked about 1/3 smaller and with no Reddi-wip on top! It was still good but compared with last year, I'm disappointed (especially with quantity). This place may be going downhill, I might not eat here next year. Lol.
