I thought GR had the perfect blend of realism and accessibility. It didn't make things stupid, but it also didn't demand too much from the player beyond discipline. I lamented the sight-only view at times, but at others it did make it easier to see what was going on.

While there have been other games using the name since, to me this is still the only "Ghost".

I haven't played Ghost Recon in ages. I remember getting it Christmas 2001. Thanks for the info Magnum. I've never played the game with mods and I dare say its been a decade at least since I played it. I'm pretty sure I have both expansions(I hope,hope,hope) because the requirements says you need them. Downloading now and thanks again for letting us know.

Worst case scenario, GR and both its addons are on Steam and probably other DL services as well, so you can get whatever you're missing for the price.

In Steam, I have GR and its 2 addons listed separately.

Make sure you put it in the MODS folder of your GR install..I got it and it runs great!!

Y'know it's funny...when this game came out in 2001, I could barely get through the castle mission. The squad-based focus and pacing was so radically new that I struggled with it as a new tactical gamer.

Now, 16 years later, after maturing a bit and gaining some experience with the Arma series and stealth games, I am LOVING GR.

Kudos to the guy who developed this mod. There are many, many hours of classic Tom Clancy adventures ahead of me and I couldn't be happier.
