Did you know that on Sept 30 1951 Private Eastwood was a passenger in AD-1Q 09383, which was flying from NAS Seattle to Mather AFB. The pilot became lost in bad weather and ditched off Point Reyes.

The pilot was Naval Lt, (jg) P. C. Anderson. Eastward swam to shore and Anderson paddled to shore.

Has anybody ever identified any aircraft flown by Hall of Fame and Boston Red Sox baseball player Ted Williams, who flew with the Marines in WWII and in Korea (and lost several years of baseball doing so)? Or the any of the bombers flown by Jimmy Stewart or George McGovern (I think it was) over Europe in WWII?

There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB.
The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed.
There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.

I had read that story about Clint Eastwood somewhere but there didn't seem to be a lot of info. I believe it though. He's been one tough and healthy bird his whole life from what I've observed and read.

I got a bit worried when I first saw this thread title. I'm glad to see that Clint is still among us. smile

The Bayou
I actually voiced out the words, "Oh no."

The rusty wire that holds the cork that keeps the anger in
Gives way and suddenly it’s day again
The sun is in the east
Even though the day is done
Two suns in the sunset, hmph
Could be the human race is run

Well he is 86. Would have put RIP in the title if he died.
