I enjoyed the first of the "fallers" books, more so than any of the original void trilogy. Looking forward to reading this.

PFH's books sometimes suffer from Deus Ex Machina (as this one does), but the journey is usually still pretty good My favourite PFH books are still The Night's Dawn trilogy (currently working my way toward a 4th reading), even though that whole story suffers from an almost literal Deus Ex Machina solution.
