Hi all,
Just a quick shot of the superb Bandai 1/12 BB-8 I completed last night, as a very short break from the Pucara. I've built a couple of Bandai Star Wars kits now, and they are all superbly moulded, in multiple colours, and simply push together. Despite their push fit nature there are no compromises with detail. All the colours of the main ball are separate parts, and not painted by me. Indeed, the only paint is around the 'eyes' and the black on the main antenna.
It needed the briefest tickle with a very fine sanding stick, a panel wash with Flory Models Dark Dirt and some Tamiya weathering pastels Soot, and it was done.
There's about 6 hours work all told (probably not even that!) to produce a very fun little model. If you can get hold of one of the kits I highly recommend them.
