Hi thealx,
big thanks for your answer! Yes, I've seen, as I try to figure out a suitable config for my
HOTAS, that the control system is real complicated. I try to get it as operable as possible. Sadly this means that the original AH-64 layout from which I get a manual and want to use it as a template, isn't nearly possible to realize.
But o.k. the pit itself isn't an exact copy, so I have to live with that. The main issue is to get it relatively comfortable to use, without breaking your finger joints
. Sometimes you have to press a number of combinations, that it could be a real advantage to be an alien with 8 fingers on one hand
Have seen that some keys on the keychart (08-2007 2.9) doesn't match with the game. Mostly shift, alt, or ctrl are mixed up. I have made a new once (edited the original with a graphics program), but the quality isn't as good as the original cause I haven't the knowledge of correctly editing pdf's. When I'm finished with my
HOTAS and have been through all possible controls on the chart and corrected them, I could upload it if someone is interested in. Maybe someone with more knowledge at pdf creating could make a new one with the correct settings.
P.S: Is there no way to get the needles back in the Havoc cockpit? What is the problem with that special cockpit? The OH-58, KA-50 or the Hind have analog instruments with needles and those are completely new helos, which were never in the original game, so is there a restriction in the code related to the MI-28? I'm no programmer, so that's why I am asking.
Don't get me wrong, I don't want to criticize anything about this mod, cause it's one of the two best mods ever realized for a game. The other one in my opinion is Falcon BMS. But it's really sad that the analog instruments not working in this helo. As far as I've read in the forum the problem exist for a long time and installing EEAH makes no difference. I have tested it by myself. Couldn't remember exactly if the needles were in the pit at the earlier EECH versions. It's too long ago, but there arent working in 1.15.4 and also in 1.16.0 Fix 1.
And one big question, cause I couldn't test it at the moment: Is only Track IR itself supported or could you use FreeTrack or FaceTrack with EECH All Mods, too? And does Track IR work independently from the mouse look or is it only simulating the mouse look function?
Thanks and regards
