Chris is a really good guy and his not being here is a big loss to this place.

That gaming website is run by a bunch of oppressive Liberal scumbags. Mention any conservative opinions on there and you'll get banned. The place is full of progressives that spew all sorts of strange views.

I read it anyways, but they're quick to ban you.

RPS was notorious for being anti-Gamer's Gate and they routinely have articles touting feminist views as well as other gender oriented subject matter.

Hmmm I did not know that Blastman. I'm not a member to its forums or anything. Some suggested the site to me for the latest and upcoming game articles after the site I usually went to closed down.(I can't even remember what it was called now lol. I think it was Gamespy or something) I usually don't even really read the game articles in full as I find the writing style of whoever creates them to be unnecessarily obnoxious. I just go there because they seem to be on top of any and every game news and often times I hear of things I'd never heard of before.

If anyone knows of any other good gaming news sites I'd appreciate it. I'll look at IGN sometimes but they do too much other crap and more often than not lately I find them to be waaaay off on their game reviews. So any suggestions would be great. Any how it was fun stumbling upon BeachAV8R else where in cyber land. I also liked his Strike Fighters screenshots and mini AARs.

I was intrigued by what Blastman said so I went a checked some of their forum topics. I didn't realize the European dislike of the US was so strong. PWEC seems so subdued to the style of discussion there. Just look at this; no need to read it all just start in the middle. Jump to page 51 in the header.

I too miss Beach. He was a good egg and had interesting input.

The forums there are civil compared with stuff that is said in the comments of articles on RPS. Dissent in the articles, say something contrary to the politically correct tone of the authors and you get banned, all while commenters lambast you in the rudest, inflammatory ways.

I've never visited their forums. I don't know anything about it. I just started going there as suggested to find up to date gaming news. Its a shame that the powers that be over there use a gaming website as their own personal soap box instead of it being focused on the games. Sounds like they suffer from the same illness as most of the rest of the media formats these days.

Does anyone have any better suggestions? I do most of my game related stuff here but it would be nice to have a SimHQ level website for other games and RPGs.

Well, Beach has a nice website related to sims.

It is mostly sims, but has a political/controversy sub-forum. Similar to here.

So Beach's website is like MSNBC and SimHQ is like Fox News. Got it.

Granted, opinions about the US are a mixed bag. Most former eastern block countries are very pro-US. Speaking for myself, I like Americans, always have, grew up with them, have a lot of American friends from all walks of life and I love the country. US politics, well...not so much, but then I don't like a lot of the politics of Germany either, but that doesn't make me dislike Germany and it's citizens or the US and it's citizens, (yeah, I know, I am German, but you get the idea ). And I know many other folks, that think the same way.

Hope, my comment isn't PWEC material, just trying to put things into perspective a little.
