I've waited months.

It's finally here.

It won't play.

I've never tried a streaming show that just wouldn't even start.

I just tried it and it seemed to work fine. Maybe an ISP issue?

Even better than the old Top Gear.

The guest star segment had me laughing out loud.

It's funny how sometimes the thread title can be completely read the wrong way.

I thought this was going to be about a grand tour (as in excursion or trip) of the Amazon rain forest. biggrin

I like it, it was funny watching them trying to copy a format without being sued biggrin i hope they really do ditch the celeb bit as that was the most boring bit on the old top gear!

One thing that kinda bugged me, their "not an airfield", whilst technically correct as its not active .. is actually (ex) RAF Wroughton pilot

So, is it worth a Prime subscription?

I love Prime for movies and tv but they have a habit of giving you a season or two and then asking for cash for the following seasons. I was really getting into the Series "The Americans" and just found out if I want to continue with more seasons I have to pay. A bit upset with Prime now and might not renew.

One show isn't worth a Prime subscription ($99 a year), but I do a LOT of Amazon shopping and free 2 day shipping is cool...lol. Plus some free Kindle books, streaming music, and the TV stuff.

Not saying Grand Tour isn't good...because I loved it...lol.

I thought it was a bit meh. It seems to be following the same track as the BBC series with long, overblown features. The only difference is that they can swear a bit more, and have a lot more money to play with, so it certainly looks good.

I enjoyed it.

Top Gear seemed a little more spontaneous IMHO which was one of the things I liked. Of course it got Clarkston in trouble as well. What will be interesting is seeing how the series progresses over time. If you look at early versions of Top Gear (also on Amazon Prime) you can see how the series improved over time. Apparently there is a three year contract with Amazon for these three. I'm not sure how much longer they will do the show after that.

It did make me want to win the lottery to get that Porche 918. That thing was sweet.

Just my personal opinion, but only the opening sequence did anything for me. The rest was plain boring and stupid. YMMV.

Watched it last night, not a bad start, not bad at all.

Enjoyed it a lot, but the celebrity bit got a little tedious.
