I would be very curious to know how many people under the age of 30 listen to Metallica.

Yup! That makes sense.

The entire album is a masterpiece. I would argue this is their best album to date. It has so many attributes from all their previous albums all meshed into one, especially Load/Reload, Master, Kill.... If Metallica stopped writing music today and hung up their hats, this album is how you go out on top.
If I had to pick one song off Hardwired, it is Spit Out the Bone. Completely blows me away.

Bunch of younger guys at my work grabbed it on release day and they still get a ton of play on the mainstream stations so i would say they are doing ok regards the young peeps.
^ Damage Inc is pretty good. I'd go see them if they came to Baton Rouge.

That guy is probably the median age for the hardcore Metallica fan.

Occasionally I see seniors (65+) at Molly Ringwald shows still rocking out to AC/DC, Gn'R, VH, etc. covers. Warms the heart.

The members of VH and AC/DC are all in their 60's so those seniors would simply be watching their peers perform.
