I mostly do console gaming, but there are a few games I must keep for my PC... mainly Steel Beasts Pro PE, the Combat Mission series, and recently Civilization 6... all these games I want to play SP on my HDTV, if I want to play MP then I'll come over here... but I can't sit for more then an hour or so with my back pain issues. I tried that STEAM device but it was terrible, when it did work it only worked at 720p... I want at least 1080p. Wireless but my PC is only 10 feet away from the TV, but can't do a wire because straight across and dogs... so anyway...

anyone got experience or an opinion on the shield thing for my needs?

thx.

I have the ShieldTV and play Skyrim on my HDTV.
I have run my own games from PC to TV but I have not tried the GeForce Now game streaming service.
You do need an nVidia video card I believe for the Shield.
I am wired and it works nicely so I am not sure if with wireless you would have the same issues as before.
Not sure what I can check for you that you can probably find from checking Youtube videos but I can try.

One thing to consider is grabbing some Powerline Ethernet equipment and hooking up that way.

You will get a better connection vs wireless and that may fix your issues with the Steam device.

I use the ShieldTV mostly for video streaming, PLEX, Youtube etc and I love it.

Thanks... some problem, new solution... I just want to play my PC games, single player, on my HDTV while on my couch... anyone got any info on this alienware style PC console... 500 bucks, just another console next to my others... you think those games mentioned above would run smooth on this:

We're trying to improve overall rendering efficiency with SB Pro PE, but right now I feel compelled to recommend the 799.- version rather than the 499.-, at least with version 4.0.

Not sure if you can play non-steam games on it, but I've been using a steam link to play games in my steam library on my big screen tv and it is great. Cheap too...

I've almost bought the steam link a few times but every time I always see some negative reviews and change my mind. I'd love to be able to play my computer games on my bedroom tv or living room tv. But all the negative reviews always make me weary.
