Maybe it's too early for me...again.
Are any of the American two-seater squadrons using the new aircraft?
Couldn't see it but perhaps I missed it.

And I don't mean just as a pilot (where there are none that I see) but in any of the non-flyable American two-seater squadrons in the Campaign mode?

EDIT: Completely unrelated and I didn't want to spam the main board but the N28, in American colors, with UE, Lumasharpen, and my graphic card settings, is very pretty. Just had to get that out I guess...back to your regular program. Screenshot doesn't do it justice - the light and sun seem more "alive' in-game. Still pretty though.

Well, a little digging revealed there are no American skins for the 14 so I guess that means "No" as a career aircraft nor for any NPC-only squadrons.

Duke, doesn't look like too many squadrons used it. Here's a snippet from worldwar1.com after a quick Google search:

"In the absence of Liberty-powered D.H. 4's the U.S. Air Service initially ordered 376 Breguet aircraft (including 229 A2's and 47 B2's). About half of these had Fiat A-12 or A-12bis engines. The first American squadron to fly the Breguet operationally was the 96th Aero Squadron; which began training at the Michelin Bros. testing field on 1 December 1917. The 96th Aero took its Breguet to Amanty on 18 March 1918. However, apparently due to poor condition of the aircraft the first bombing raid was not flown until 12 June. On 10 July disaster struck the 96th when six Breguet 14's set out to bomb the railroad yards at Conflans. None of the aircraft made it back to Amanty. During the St.Mihiel Offensive the 96th Aero performed ground attack missions and bombed rail centers. Due to a combination of pilot inexperience and muddy airfields the 96th suffered the loss of 14 planes in five days. This is the worst loss rate of any A.E.F. unit during the war.
In addition to the 96th Aero other A.E.F. squadron flying the Breguet were the 9th Night Reconnaissance Squadron and the 99th Corps Observation Squadron."

None of these squads are in WOFF.

From out of my arse take the camshaft,
And assemble the engine again."

Thank you sir.
I will claim ignorance as to the TO&E of the American two-seater squadrons but always thought (assumed?) they were a good mix of whatever they could get - DH 4's and 9's, Salsoms(sp), and the Breguet's.

Looks like I have a little personal research project.
Thanks again!

According to Wikipedia. Those squadrons were ready to fly over the front before 11/11/1918.

1st: S.XI -> Sal.2
8th: DH-4
9th: Br.14
11th: DH-4
12th: S.XI -> Sal.2
20th: DH-4
24th: Sal.2
50th: DH-4
85th: DH-4
88th: Strutter -> Sal.2
90th: Strutter and S.XI and Br.14 -> Sal.2
91st: Sal.2
96th: Br.14
99th: Strutter -> Sal.2
100th: DH-4 (No combat mission)
104th: Sal.2
135th: DH-4
163rd: DH-4 (No combat mission)
166th: DH-4
168th: DH-4
186th: Sal.2
258th: Sal.2
278th: DH-4 (No combat mission)
354th: DH-4

It's from wikipedia, as always, it is not a complete list of aircraft used during combat missions, except for the 90th AS aparently.

Very nice sir and much appreciated!
I did think the Americans had a squadron or two of DH9's that did long range stuff but obviously not.
Get the Sal.2 in the game and I guess we will really be all set.
"Hat in the Ring" squadron here I come!

In effect, the only USAS squadrons were the 9th, a night reccy outfit, which wouldn't be particularly useful oFF, and the 96th, which was equipped with the B2
Cheers

We will remember them.

Nice work (again!) OBD.
Just glad to be finally flying with Captain Eddie.
As I mentioned above it's been a good week in WOFF world.
