Revisiting the video a few days later...
It's not terrible clever, but I wonder: What is it really that makes us react in such a negative way? I mean if the guy choses to kill himself accidently (or on purpose...) what does it change in our own lives?
I think it's just seeing someone do something so obviously dangerous that you question their ability to make good decisions, and how that may affect other things.
There is also the aspect of how it actually could impact other people's lives. A friend of a friend jumped into the Pacific ocean off a cliff, missed the right spot and hit a shallow area, and became a quadriplegic as a teenager. After that, he required a great deal of care, friends and loved ones had to see that he wasn't going to be able to do the things he had wanted to, and the cost of the care was so high the money had to come from other people. All because of one poorly thought out decision.
