The new Caudron sure is a nice juicy target for my Albatros. It's large, slow, wing-warping, and the gun can't fire behind and below.

Woff UE Like Ice Cream on Warm Apple Pie.

Or the crowning achievement.

Whichever you prefer.

The beauty, performance, and lighting ambiance alone make Woff UE worth double what I paid for it.

And I am running a system that I assembled in 2012.

My system would probably be classified as a "high end" mid-range.

Hats off to OBD, the beta testers, Ankor, and the community!!

Im running this on a 5 year old non-gaming specific laptop. I upgraded from WOFF 1 and the jump in performance was massive. I usually had between 19 and 24 fps in WOFF 1 (2 fps in time acc mode). Now I hover around 30 fps (10-12 fps at 12x time acc) with higher graphics settings than before.

Thanks to all the Devs. This purchase was very very much worth it!

Thanks again to OBD for the enhanced machine gun sounds that I have greatly appreciated when flying the Pup and the SA5.

The sounds are awesome!

Took a few Spins, yesterday.
The Clouds seem to blur softer, when you fly into them... not that former "plopp" - no Vision.
The Caudron is Fun... and I will never again complain about the bad front View of Spads LOL
Looks like this is a pure Rudder-Plane... you can make a U-Turn on a Dime with it... but if that alone helps against a Bunch of Fokkers? We'll see...
There is also more Animation inside these "Oil-Pressure-Gauge-Glasses" or how they are called - looks cool.
The new Watchtower on the Airfields is also nice.
The additional Air-Traffic-Options "Insane" and "are you nuts!?" (already discussed in another Thread) are great - especially in the early Years, if you like a bit more Company in the Skies.
I made a Mistake and choose "Ultra" in Mid-1918... outch! skyisfalling
There are many new Background-Pics in the main Menu. There is a special one of the Jasta5, that looks somehow dire and frightening. Not like many other Pics of Esc's or Jastas... you'll see it sooner or later, then you know, what I mean... hard to explain.
There is a whole lot more to metion - but I rather drive Home now and fly some Missions pilot

Have Fun everyone & a nice Weekend wave

Speaking of new things in WOFFUE, has anyone else noticed that the two-seater gunners aren't terminators anymore? They don't snipe you with their first shot. It looks like there is some spray and pray before they zero-in on you and send you down smoking. With the previous versions it took them 10 seconds to shoot me down, now it takes them 15. If that was tweaked, then bravo OBD, I say bravo! If not, then I'll just keep telling myself that they did and still praise OBD.

Purchased and enjoying.

First mission in RIR was with full snow cover and new trees, truly excellent.
Does make the roads, rail roads and rivers stand out much better.
Seems easier to navigate than with that partial snow cover I mentioned in an RIR report.

FPS improvements are great as well.

I had a noteworthy mission today. My flight of DH2s was attacking a railroad depot in August 1916. I often stay above and act as top cover while the rest of my squad attacks the depot. A couple of German planes appeared well above. One continued on its way but the other one dove on me. It was a Roland CII.

In all of my previous encounters with the Walfisch they have acted in a defensive manner only but this one was in attack mode. I took a few hits but it was going much faster than I was and overshot me. I turned away and started to run. Then another DH2 joined in and the Roland attacked it too. After I gained some speed and altitude I went back after the Walfisch which was now on the tail of the other DH2. I got some good shots in and was pleased to see his prop slow down and then stop.

Now while I'm thinking that it's time to regroup and go home I see the "low fuel" message. In all of the excitement I hadn't noticed that my fuel was leaking out. I head west but I'm way too low and land well behind the front lines (at least 2 miles). After the mission was concluded I was pleasantly surprised to see that I had made it back just fine. I was not captured followed by an escape - it just concluded normally like any other flight. I'll take it!

Is the Roland CII's offensive behavior something that changed with UE? I like it.

In some Wahlfisch units, certain aircraft were tasked with providing cover, or escort, for their comrades. You likely ran into such an intrepid fellow

In my, somewhat limited, combat experience vs the Whalefish they have been more then happy to pretend they are Brisfits and give you a run for your money. Have yet to have an encounter with one in UE though.

Looking forward to this, stumbled into the mists in Far Harbor a week ago and am still lost, but I am especially pleased with the "one stop shopping" aspect... when you are not particularly organized, every bit helps! thumbsup
