Developed by the creators of Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption, Red Dead Redemption 2 is an epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland. The game’s vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience.
It might be similar to the GTA 5 release Raw Kryptonite and be announced years later
What il do is buy it for my son tell him its for Christmas on his PS4, and hog it myself mate haha
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them.

No telling. People have been crying out for Red Dead on pc for years with no luck. With pc gaming getting bigger again, maybe we'll see it. If it supported mods it would be like the new Skyrim.
Am I the only one getting annoyed by this ever increasing advance hype? We're talking about a game a YEAR away. And they now even "announce" the trailer release???
If the game is built on RDR code, then it won't come out for PC. It has been stated by Rockstar that RDR was too difficult and time-intensive to port over to PC.
If, on the other hand, Rockstar is using GTA V's engine (which I strongly suspect), then I agree with Bib.
Edit: not going to buy a console merely for just one game. I am not that interested in it and my life probably would not change dramatically should I not get to play RDR 2.

Why men throw their lives away attacking an armed Witcher... I'll never know. Something wrong with my face?

LOL Sadly, "just" a year is almost refreshing these days. If it was Ubisoft, you could count on it being put off another year at the last minute and then until Q2 of the following year. Maybe being Rockstar the date will be halfway reliable.
I wouldn't buy a console for just one game either, but this would be the game that would get me to buy one and then go back to play the previous games that were interesting that didn't go to pc. Plus, prices are getting decent on the consoles again, about what I'd pay for my next graphics card. Or less.
Don't forget this announcement was announced before it happened, too.
Yeah, soon they'll announce the reveal message a month in advance that then tells when the trailer will be released which then shows now gameplay but puts the game at least 12 months out, which then gets delayed three months...
Or it could be that they are going to use the xbox one Win10 port thing so that they dont have to actually program the game for PC but they can just use the xbox one games run on win10 thing.
In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!

The minute that was announced, a single word, BS, was heard across the world.
YAYEEEE!!!!!! Thanks for the heads up RK. Red Dead Redemption is one of my favorites. I hope they do this one justice by keeping true to the first one. PLEASEEEE no obnoxious, stupid aszzz characters like grand theft auto series. MORE John Marston. I hope he at least shows up in a flashback or prequel sequence.
I too still want RDR to come to PC. I wouldn't know but I feel that I agree with DaBBQ. How can they say that when L.A. Noir which uses the same engine and came out around the same time made it to PC?
Anyhow I hope Rockstar stays true to the first one and doesn't give into the overly obnoxious satire and celebration of depravity and making the player's character a worthless piece of trash like those three guys in GTA5. It has the word redemption in it. Marston had redeemable characteristics once he turned from the bad and had a family he was fighting for. I loved all the classic movie Western traditions that made its way into the first one.
However they need to add steers and more cowboying gameplay. Not just herding milk cows from time to time. I'd like them to flesh that out with more rope tricks too.
Oh man oh man oh man oh man! Check this out.....I know its early but this site has had posted from earlier this year a leaked image of the game's map. Apparently the game may just take place before the events of Red Dead Redemption which I hope is true because that is something that I had always hoped for in a sequel. I really hope we get to play as John Marston again even if only for a short time. If this map is real, its also great that it takes place nearby the map area of the first game!

Yeah I have been thinking the same thing, $299-399
Never saw the appeal for huge map's like that. Many of the blockbuster games like just cause 2 and GTA 5 had huge map's filled with nothing interesting.
