I know this is a niche of a niche but this Avangate reseller has limited number of payment options. Could the devs implement more payment options like for example
www.bmtmicro.com which supports modern payment options like paysafecard/bitcon
Maybe something to consider for ultimate edition pls ?

I imagine that setting up with another provider will cost the devs additional money as none of the online payment/download providers does the job for free. Just out of curiosity JimBobb, what are the issues you have using something like PayPal, which Avangate does accept as one of their payment methods.

OK fair enough JimBobb, if there are no fees for the service. But I am still curious, what are your issues with PayPal and the other payment methods offered by Avangate?

And I suspect for the volume that WOFF produces, looks like avangate is better by far.
And JimBobb I am also curious. What are your issues with PayPal and the other payment methods offered by Avangate?
Is it just this... paysafecard/bitcoin ?
Even if there are no fees, most likely there will be a cost involved in changing their internal process over to a new method. What will be ROI (Return on Investment) to do so? Are there enough people out there that need to use paysafecard or bitcoin that would make it worth while to make a change?

I am a member of the BOC so I may not grasp this entire thread, I use PayPay for some online purchases and I also use this crazy 20th century device called a credit card. Bueller?

Stache, they can have as many providers or as little as they want, it's their call in the end, but think of it this way, the sales they would have at other provider also vs no sale at all, now you do the math...

[Re: JimBobb]
That might vary by country of course, but there is such thing as prepaid card. I never used one (I have real credit and debit cards), but after a quick search I found that it is possible to get one for a fixed one-time fee of about 2 euro without the need for any identification documents. You can even buy it as a gift. And that's in Russia (although to be fair the limit for "anonymous" payments is about 200 euro here).

If you want a guarantee of privacy don't buy anything off the internet. I doubt if any payment process would be foolish enough to say they are 100% safe. Whether the internet is the best thing ever invented or the worst is still up in the air, but as we've chosen at this point in time to access it and put a lot of our personal information out there, we take a risk. There's probably somebody poking you with a cyber-stick at this very moment. I think you either buy the product or not. My wife and I have been in retail business for forty years, storefront and now internet, and you cannot offer everyone, everything, all the time. Some buyers will just have to choose if they want to make the purchase or not. S

I dont know about the rest of the world but here in the UK Paysafe seems to be a bit awkward. If ive got this right you have to physically get to your outlet to purchase? Ive just had a look on Paysafe site and typed my address in. Its telling me my nearest Paysafe outlet is in Wiltshire thats over 150 miles from where i live. It,d take me nearly 3 hrs in car to get there haha..so in the words of the Dragons den...Im Out

You didn't answer the question but your response implies you think they are active and thus have seen this thread, along with all the other posts elsewhere about this subject that's been asked and answered. So you can either wait around here and hope they respond or write them directly and receive a response directly.
I'm not "defending" the devs and, frankly, I don't even care if you don't like Avangate, etc. It's not my problem. For previous versions of OFF/WOFF I thought Avangate's shipping charges were usury-esque for a disc--but I paid them, because it was either that or nothing. But it is just interesting to me how many people speculate what the devs think about various things but fail or hesitate just write them and ask. It's been my experience that often times the reason is it's not the response one finds important, it's making the point publicly, even ad nauseam. There's no audience if one writes them directly.
You know perfectly well we are active on this forum, have seen this and the many other times you have posted on this issue, and you also know perfectly well the answer. Posing the question over and over again isn't going to change the answer, or the reasons for it. Cheers, shredward

[Re: JimBobb]
Thanks Shredward, answering the question for the __th time. Now I was completely wrong about the Paysafecard since I have no interest in using it for WOFF since it's been cut and dried (horse beaten to death) or any other cliche, that it's not accepted by Avangate. Like I said in my earlier post, a retailer, OBD in this case makes decisions on marketing their product. It's up to the buyer if they want to buy it or not. Shred said it perfectly, this question has been posed a lot and I'm sure if the devs choose to do something different we will all find out. Now let me pose a question that has not been beaten to death, How about the Belgium's? Italian front? Sorry that was two, never mind. S

I won't say there will never be a Belgian Air Service, or an Italian Front, but there are no plans at present. Cheers, shredward

Too bad, in particular about the Belgian Air Service, but thanks for the info Shredward.
Now then, where do we stand on the idea of alternate forms of payment for WOFF and/or other places to acquire it from? Have the devs ever looked into this?

I would gladly donate more money in whatever alternate way you'd like for a Belgian air service or the Italian front.

Ooooo, the Belgian Air Service and the Italian Front! Will those be in WOFF UE? That hasn't been asked yet, has it?

Belgians/Italian Front would be cool, but I am eagerly awaiting what they are doing with their non-WW1 project. At least that IS something they said they were doing.
As Woff now does not need CFS 3 maybe it can be put somewhere else?
Don't think it's gonna happen JimBob...surely WOFF UE still uses some CFS3 code? It's got to ain't it..stuff like Tac display, labels etc.

JimBobb we do not want another provider at this time, no one else has asked for this payment method so it's not worth it currently. We are a very small unit, there is too much work as it is thanks. No need to keep spamming this point. We don't have to answer ever post in every thread (or any in fact then we'd be just like most developers).

Ok, last question..... could there be a chance that Avangate would add paysafecard as payment option?
