I just caught this movie on Netflix ... HUGE and hugely unbalanced firefight between a few U.S. contractors/CIA staff protecting the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya and MANY Islamic militants back in Sept. 2012.
Great performance by John Krasinski of The Office fame! (I was surprised)
Bonus when Max Martini (Dirt Diver from The Unit) showed up! I miss "The Unit".
Just be prepared for an onslaught of tactical beards.
I have a friend that is a retired SEAL and I have always kidded him about the fact that the SEALs wanted him for his ability to grow such a beard in only a week.
Of course, it's now extra funny since the beard he gets, these days, is full of gray hair.

Seems everyone but me knows a SEAL. Saw a group of them once, in a NCO club in Puerto Rico, but never talked to one. I admire them a great deal.
Tell your friend, Murphy and SimHqs said; "Thanks for your service".... I've never had the opportunity to thank one.

In that youtube pic, the guy on the right was a letcherous prison guard in "Orange new black", and the guy with the curly hair and beard was ALSO in "The Office", he was the warehouse guy who was engaged to Pam in the early episodes. Yea, that's right, two guys from a lighthearted comedy about the office, are in a hardcore movie about a military assault.

And the guy on the right played an F/A-18F pilot who was in trouble for selling go pills in another comedy, albeit a military political one, called "The Brink"
As for "13 Hours", I liked it. Of course it was a little bit Hollywood in some places being Michael Bay, but it wasn't as bad as it could be. I'm also reading the book that it is based on and for the most part the movie follows it mostly well. The movie, like the book, does not directly call out Hillary Clinton's involvement in this incident but rather focuses on the situation that those involved had to deal with because of the lack of support that was needed when it was needed. The most political comment that was made in the movie was in regard ot the Youtube video causing protests as reported by the mass media--and the operators going, "Wait a minute, we are here and we never saw any of that."

Oddly enough, the incident got more press on the EVE Online forums than most other Web news sites due to the IT guy (2nd KIA at embassy) being one of the Goonswarm officers.
