A few pictures.

I had hoped to meet Lt Col Richard Cole, last surviving Doolittle Raider, but I arrived too late for his early morning appearance and had to leave before his afternoon appearance. At 101 years old he couldn't be expected to sit under an awning all day.

Damn. I live here and knew nothing about it. I would of taken my daughter. frown Nearest place otherwise to see Warbirds is Pensacola NAS museum (Warner Robbins Aside--not been to that one yet). Did they fly and do an airshow?

One of my fondest memories is when my dad took my brother and I to Guntersville Alabama sometime back in the late 80s/early 90s for a World War 1 fly-in event at Guntersville airfield. That was truly an amazing time.

There was no airshow but the P-40's did do a formation flight Saturday evening. And there were several aircraft offering rides (T-6, P-51, DC-3 etc) that were flying in and out all day.

You're really going to kick yourself if you missed last years show:

Wow, that's badass, meeting Bud like that. I'll have to keep my eye out for it next year.

Cool pictures.
I have met Bud Anderson a few times when he was at Planes of Fame but never got a picture with him. He comes to their airshow annually and this year is the guest speaker at the "Taste of Flight" event.
