What Catfish said, looks big enough to install half a dozen submachine guns in the wings. Tec 9s? Even looked like the engine torqued it to the right on take off. Very awesome...

In other words. the Engine power to the prop was stronger then the wind passing over the control surfaces. Modeled really to well in X-Plane.

X-Plane model of the P-47 is a real bear to takeoff in, not unlike many of those old big radial engines. Really must apply to much rudder to even get down the runway. Or else you wind up ground looping on takeoff. Not a pretty sight.
Got to hand to the engine builder of that model though, Sounds great.

Did they model the tail wheel lock in X-Plane?
Wheels Yes they did, problems begin the second it lifts off the ground. LOL

I was, once, about 50' from a P-51 Mustang when it started (out in the open) and it was, indeed, damn loud. I can just imagine what it would have been like with some buildings to echo the sound.

I was a 100 yards or so from one as it took off today, I could not contain myself and I let out a quick "Wooooo!" as cold chills ran down my arms. And as good as that Merlin sounds, a big round R2800 is even better, IMO.

The loudest engine I heard on take off was the Titan IV, followed by the space shuttle...
