I would suggest joining the United States Army. Although, that still won't guarantee a seat in an Apache, it is probably your best shot.

Or the British Army. . Polychop's Gazelle is fun to fly in the anti-tank role though.

I noticed the AH-64 is listed on the commercial side of DCS at www.thebattlesim.comQuote "Other aircraft are in development such as the F-16, F/A-18, and AH-64" Wonder if that means we may get the AH-64 eventually? If some agreement can be made like the A-10C. Would sell very well you would think after all the AH-64 sims of the past. I was hoping for Combat Helo to happen and bring back a little bit of the nineties nostalgia.

Everyone at ED realizes how well an Apache would sell. The ability to develop a commercial public product would have been fairly high on the list of negotiated terms.

They are just waiting on finishing up the ground radar technology for the F/A- 18C Hornet then finish the AH-64D with the AN/APG-78 Longbow radar. Bit of Wishful thinking!

Well, they announced the F/A-18 5 years ago; been waiting forever for a dynamic campaign (which ain't gonna happen). As far as picking something that will sell well, when has that ever been a factor in ED's decision making?
Yeah, wouldn't hold my breath with ED. Of course they'll come out with more campaigns and trainers. . .

The Hornet was announced in 2011? When the A-10 was released? I don't recall it that way. DCS World didn't even exist when A-10 came out, BS2 came out next. It was BS, FC2, A-10C, BS2, DCS World (with Su-25T), and then the others started coming out. I seem to recall the MiG-21 was announced in early 2012, right before Combined Arms was released in the early summer and FC3 came out end of the year or so? Anyway, the Hornet was announced after at least some of those events if not all, so it's been at most 4 years if not 3-3.5. As for the Apache, IT was announced before the A-10C was actually released. It was supposed to follow A-10, not BS2...or DCS World...or any of the others that have come out since. I recall clear as day "After the A-10C, the Apache will follow in approx 9 months, with others to follow at roughly the same interval afterwards." The Apache never had an official cancellation I can recall, so it's just been 6 years and counting... The Jedi Master

What's with all the DCS WWII planes anyway? There is not even a WWII theater of war to play them in.
That never made any sense to me either.

That never made any sense to me either. Well why not? DCS is all over the time line. One would think to pick one decade and roll with it. Now everything modeled makes sense right?

Well, ED wants DCS to be a sandbox sim, where you can simulate almost any timeframe. But, they need corresponding maps for that. This is in the works, but not exactly coordinated Just wanted to preserve the fact that you said this. No I didn't! You hacked my account...again! :-P Seriously though, this is a problem with DCS... There should be more maps, and campaigns galore. I mean, we have two excellent Korean War fighters, but no MiG Alley Korea map! That's not...optimal. Same goes for the WWII arena, although this is in development. Here's hoping that the release of 2.5 will alleviate this situation. Well, apparently, your account is still being hacked, old boy! You were posting gay comments on the other thread.
