Those last two episodes were pretty damned epic.

I have a problem with Amazon and their video service (they are stupid!) so I'm stuck with the BluRays. Only up to S5 so far.
I watched the entire show via HBO On Demand and it worked great.

There are 13 episodes left to end the series, divided in 2 seasons. I hope there are a couple of 2 hour episodes there, but I think it is because they are ramping the budget pretty high on the remaining episodes.
There is a rumor of a movie set in Robert's rebellion or another past events (like in the glory days of Valeria) is in early development to show between the last 2 seasons.
Ah, so it's 13 now? The last time I read about it I thought the producers mentioned that seasons 7 and 8 would each have 7 episodes.

It's not just HBO it's SyFy channel too and all the other TV channels that have an on demand service via the internet, the channels are geo locked and you can only watch the programs in the country you live in, it was a pain waiting for The Expanse to be released on to Bluray so I could watch it.
At least Amazon.co.uk lets me watch videos/series' that I have purchased in different locations.

Bit expensive to move to the US just to finish the show Oh wow, I didn't realize that HBO On Demand was not available in Europe? That's ridiculous. I believe that's the reason: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sky_Atlantic

I got HBO GO and other On Demand services to run in Europe.
...by VPNing into my US computer and streaming it through there.
As you probably guessed, the lag rendered this good idea into a bad one.
That's OK. When I'm in Europe I really ought to not be watching TV anyway!
