Hiding in the bushes
Anyone remember this?

It had a sort of dynamic campaign. You were the Wing Commander and had to plan your own missions with limited resources and strategic targets to accomplish in each campaign.

I had a "copy" someone gave me back in high school. I don't remember much. I seem to remember that if you had rudder pedals you could pivot the pilots head after ejecting. Looks fun. I liked the landing and taxi part.

Is this an old one from your past that you got working on a modern system or is this being played on a nostalgia system? Where did you get the game?

When the game came out back in 1997 I played only the demo at my friends house since my PC was too weak. My buddy even had 3dfx card which made the game looked even greater. Few years later while in college I bought a new PC which could handle all new games at the time. So from time to time I started to revisit some games that I miss in late '90s. I bought Joint Strike Fighter budget release (from Sold Out Software) back in 2002 I think and played it a bit but never extensively. Recently I'm trying to run old sims on my new rig with Windows 10 64-bit and surprisingly JSF works well (more info in the video decription). Since my version of the game from Sold Out was butchered - it didn't include redbook audio by Kim Jensen I recently tracked and acquired the Premier Collection edition which does and contain physical manual and other goodies like maps and quick reference card.

Here's my JSF collection:

I loved this game but I got pretty bad crashes (return to windows) in the game which made it unplayable on my computer at the time. Still honorable graphics considering the era.
