That could have been bad, flying debris from explodey engines hitting the tail or other surfaces has brought down a lot of tubeliner aircraft before..!

Wonder what caused this. Looks like the entire engine pod lip detached - maintenance mistake?

There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB.
The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed.
There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.

There was a dent in the side of the plane, didn't depressurize it though.

Looks to be pre-N1, so maybe an anti-ice/bleed air failure? Everything forward of the fan is gone and twisted.

It'll buff out though...
