Beautiful shots, pity SB it's so pricey... It's not really if you consider they don't do the whole 'DLC-Spiel'. It's the equivalent of two or three modules in DCS or any other sim for that matter. I know it's a lot to shell out at once but if you look at it over everything you usually invest in other games it's not so bad.
Don Quixote's misfortune is not his imagination, but Sancho Panza.

Being a DCS/FSX/P3D customer I know what costs a good quality addon, and they are quite expensive sometimes! I bet it well worth for those how really enjoy armor simulations. But since it's not my favourite genre it's not easy to justify such values.

$39.50 for a full year... Granted, for some it still is a lot of money. Then again, it's right there with any other regular PC game. So the question is, do you think you'll play it for longer than about five to seve years? If you think that the answer is "only six months" the one-year license is the perfect choice. Yes, we're speculating that you'll be hooked for five to seven years. But even then the price will be about the same as for the classic license. I think that the pricing level is rather fair. But of course my opinion is biased ... like any other.

Good looking Patton. lack of campaign and modding puts me off but,, Really nice M60!! The scenario editor is very good and if you want a campaign, you can make one yourself. Also, with a bit of talent, modding can be done, there are tons of "custom" vehicle paints downloadable. If "modding" means fiddling with vehicle specs, then I'm glad that esim does not allow it.

eh don't mind me I'm a campaign (operational mode.. for land combat?) and modding guy. Each to his own right. In the case of SB i'm sure there's lots of OPsec and other concerns that i dunno. But that is a sweet patton!

But that is a sweet patton! The landscape "gardening" and campaign/scenario scripting one can (and sometimes has to) do in steelbeasts is not to far away from that IMHO. What campaigns(game?) do you do? OPsce? Don't really think so. AFAIK esim uses only publicly available data, otherwise they would not be able to sell it to private customers.

ahmm... I suppose flight sims' "dynamic campaign" is the word (I'm sure you know!), far as I know SB relies on scripted missions, nothing wrong with that at all there! it's just not my personal preference. OPsce? Don't really think so. AFAIK esim uses only publicly available data, otherwise they would not be able to sell it to private customers. Okay interesting to know thank you! but if I wanna add some ERA to the Patton (or some other customizations...) and only play singleplayer, can I do it myself?
