What are some of the absolutely most unrealistic and poorly done accents you've ever seen in a movie? There are three that immediately came to my mind,
1. Kevin Costner's "Bostonian accent" in the otherwise great film "13 Days".
2. Harrison Ford's "Russian accent" in "K-19 Widowmaker".
3. Kevin Costner's "English accent" in "Robin Hood Prince of Thieves".

Don Cheadle's "English" accent in the Ocean's films. Very few non-Brits seem to be able to do an English accent, although I guess it doesn't help there are so many different accents in such a small area.

I don't watch Castle but that scene was great!!

Not a movie, and technically not an accent, but Kiefer Sutherland in 24 (Season 8) trying - and horribly failing - to speak German. Ripped the immersion right out of that episode.
But if you insist:
Mel Gibson in Braveheart.

I love Ewan McGregor's work but his American accent in "Blackhawk Down" was not convincing at all. His "Scottishness" slipped out many times.

Sean Connery in Highlander. What a brilliant casting decision that was.
"Sean, we're making a film taking place in 16th century Scotland." "Exshellent!" "You'll be a Spaniard." "My name ish Ramiresh." "MacLeod will be played by a Frenchman."

Almost no one does a southern accent well. Except for Andrew Lincoln in Walking Dead, which is amazing considering how he speaks naturally. Same language but completely different. LOL Most make me cringe a bit. I have no doubt New Yorkers feel the same way hearing people attempt theirs too. I hear the Fargo accents were WAY over the top too.
The best use of bad accents has to be the Col. Angus skit from SNL though. LOL
I thought the captain/"surgeon" of the Acheron in "Master and Commander" had a pretty horrible French accent, which he probably got from "The Holy Grail."

Video is appearing ok here at work now, but here's link in case anyone's still having issues.
That is truly the worst, the WORST, attempt at a Geordie accent, or ANY accent, I have EVER heard in my life. All the other recommendations fall by the wayside by a long way compared to that. *shudder*
