Well the payware version was a big thumbs up for me.

After watching a few videos, I was not feeling drawn in. It seemed like a paid addon, and it was missing some of what I enjoy most about Insurgency. I was almost sad to see my $17 go when I clicked BUY, but I enjoy our groups' play sessions so hey!

But after getting in-game, yea. I feel this has the potential to offer more than Insurgency. Beautiful levels and details, actual valuation for teamwork and tactical play. Good stuff, and I feel well worth my money.

I had a few ideas after the session regarding AI balance. I'll try to have them set for next week, and see how they go.

Thanks for the play, guys!

Glad you enjoyed that Ads ! It has had a rocky start as it's not really like Insurgency although it looks like it. I really like that it values Team work. Anything you can do on the AI balance will be much appreciated, they are deadly accurate right now.

I’m really starting to enjoy these Day of Infamy sessions ... there’s a bit of a learning curve with regard to getting our sh*t together to work as a team but I think it’s starting to happen!

The actual "shooting simulation" part of the game is top notch too!

Yep, takes some time (and Tyco knowing how to lead it pretty well!), but the rewards begin to appear.

The first half of the session felt like mostly frustration for me. The second half, like some serious and high quality team play.

Yes, it was a good session when we started to get organized and figured out what the heck was going on.

You know it's a good session when Linebacker doesn't ragequit early on. cuss2

Yes I agree, great session once we got organized and figure out what to do. Although I think this is the most attractive thing about DOI, we have to think and work together. It's not easy at all and I really like that. You have to be persistent and determined to succeed, but first you fail again and again, until you've learned enough lessons and then you succeed and you start again on the next objective !

Also I'd like to thank Tyco for showing up ! His leading helped us turn the situation around, great fun !

Yup, I was about to rage quit but then Tyco stepped up and quickly figured out the importance of rapid and accurate artillery barrages. smile
