For me, the main benefits over JSGME include support for zip files (cleared up a ton of space on my SSD) Zip file support wasn't needed if the mods were created intelligently. You don't need to replicate the whole zip file in the first place since placing the modded files in a folder with the same name as the zip (in the same location) will override the files in the zip file automatically due to the way the sim already functions. Otherwise, yes it seems to be a good tool.
